@thsottiaux I’m a Plus user because I’m not a daily power user, but when I do need it, I use it heavily. The 5-hour rate limit used to be so bad that I literally had to set an alarm in the middle of the night just to wake up and hit Enter on prompts I prepared before going to sleep.

@thsottiaux When codex app window opened or even just exist, the cpu/gpu resource needed is insanely high. I feel like I can cook some eggs on my macbook.

Closing the window and just make it run at the bg fixed it. Low power mode also works.

GPT5.6 is so cheap and token-efficient in front tier model. As a $20 plan user who has tried Codex, AntiGravity (this suck) and Claude Code, I still think the Codex CLI is the best harness.
