@concretehaIIs Yes, (ice) hockey is by far more popular to play and watch. I have seen folks play street hockey on roller blades but not indoors. We also have "ball" hockey. Ice hockey would always be just "hockey" and field hockey would be "field hockey"

@strongforecheck Most of the comments I'm seeing that are particularly frustrated are from Canadians that don't live in Ontario and were hoping for a team/s somewhere else in the country. I haven't seen anyone say that Hamilton and Toronto are culturally indistinct but they are 45min apart!

@jrluhoo @shrppanjeamerik @LGNYR30 I think the fact that they just sold out MSG probably put them on the radar of more of the US. Pretty sure the sell out crowds in Seattle are also familiar with the Sirens as they have(/had in the case of Eldridge) some great players that used to play for NY.
