The Chiefs, Cowboys & 49ers have all won 5 titles in the AFL era (1960-present)
@OnePhrozenSoul@uncle_rico__ But this is why you get a national seed
So you don't have to play a juggernaut like Georgia
Being ranked #4 in the preseason, saying they underachieved makes sense
Georgia Baseball is about to improve to 6-0 vs Mississippi State this season
I believe this is the first time since the NCAA Baseball Tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1999 that a Power Conference team has gone 6-0 or better against another Power Conference team (or possibly any team) in a single season
For example, in 1985, South Carolina went 6-0 vs Clemson, but I don't think power conference teams play each other that often anymore
In mid-major conferences, sometimes they play each other six times in a season though (Wright State went 6-0 against Youngstown State last year)
If someone can find another example of this happening since 99 (or 85), I'd like to know
The stat that makes no sense ...
Spurs this season, including NBA Cup:
- 0-4 in games where they led the Knicks by 10 or more
- 1-0 in games where they didn't lead the Knicks by 10 or more
Reminder that OKC hasn’t lost to the Knicks since November 22, 2022.
This series so far is proof that there’s no need to blow the roster up and make some big splash over the off-season in OKC. A healthy Thunder team would’ve beat both of these teams.
Tony Brothers is an unrestricted free agent next season that a few teams will be interested in signing. I’d definitely pick him up for the league minimum.
