@ElecHighway @Roadchef 360kW capable? Not according to Gridserve's own website map that shows them as just 'Up to 41KW'. ps. it's kW not KW, this incorrect data feeds to places like Zap Map, so drivers might overlook this site when looking for high-power charging.
@supertanskiii The problem then is who defines what social media is and what rules apply.
For instance, When Donald decided Twitter wasn't right for him, and he kept getting flagged, he invoked his own thing (truth social).
Anyone could do that with very little skill.
So @TheSun has claimed that the UK has a "target of getting all petrol and diesel cars off the roads in just over a decade"
This is not just misleading, it's straight-up wrong - and needs correcting immediately
A thread on why
@Fairphone sent an email advising immediate availability of Android 14 on my fairphone. Would be good if true, but 'You receive this email because you bought a Fairphone 5.'.
only I haven't. I've got a Fairphone 4, and that's not had an Android 14 release yet.
@bsdnazz I think Microsoft have released a bootable usb image that detects and reverts the broken driver with an "automated" fix that can be given to semi-skilled operators to fix. Still requires hands-on. Of course, secure boot and bitlocker makes it harder. https://t.co/63AwkVmHHr
@ScientistRebel1 Machine Learning aka AI uses a huge amount of computation to achieve results that are often dubious quality. That said, there are some niche applications where it's really really good and does tremendous benefit to socity (e.g. detecting cancer). Outright ban possibly too much.
@ashens would you be interesting in sampling two bottles of 1977 vintage beer to celebrate the Queen's Silver Jubilee, and two bottles of 1981 vintage beer to celebrate Charlie & Di's wedding?
A gentle reminder that Reform UK is not a democratic political party. It is a private company owned 53% by Nigel Farage & 33% by Richard Tice. It has no real members; it has no democratic policy-making processes. It is an unaccountable entity & play thing of two rich men. Via @FT
Dangerous cycling laws sound reasonable, but it is an incredibly strange use of Government time and resource given how rare it’ll need to be used.
Every death is tragic but to put it into perspective, on average each year, more pedestrians are killed by cows than by cyclists.
Gotta love the presentation choices made on some of the water firms' new sewage spill maps.
Yorkshire Water's is a marvel. On the zoomed-out default view, things look basically fine, a sea of green ticks.
Zoom in and you see the green ticks are just hiding recent spills!
Doctors are not “health activists.” Engineers are not “bridges shouldnt fall down activists.”
City planners are not “good planning activists.” Transportation planners (which all good city planners also are) are not “walking, biking or transit activists.”
Clear enough? #experts
