Jihyo’s Food Preferences

- She doesn’t like cilantro, shiso, yuzu, or sansho
- She tried Chipotle in the US, but hasn’t been back since.
- She has tried mackerel sushi, but from now on, she says she’ll only eat blue backed fish cooked.
- She really loves uni
- She likes soy marinated raw crap (ganjang gejang)
- However, she doesn’t particularly like snow crab or king crab.
- She hates carbonated drinks.
- She doesn’t like pizza.
- She only eats tacos at places that are known for being good.
- She hates oysters.
- She doesn’t really like foods made with ground meat, such as tteokgalbi or dumplings.
- However, she does like sausages and hamburgers.
- She doesn’t like food that is painfully spicy.
- She generally doesn’t like crustaceans.
- But she does like raw red-banded shrimp (ttaksaewoo-hoe) and soy-marinated raw crab.
- Chicken? She can never say no to it.

- She started liking sundubu-jjigae (soft tofu stew) after visiting BCD Sundubu in the US
- She doesn’t like avocado.
- She really loves pho and pad thai.
- She likes matcha.
- She’s not particularly fond of Dubai chewy cookies (dujjongku).
- She did like butter tteok.
- She likes foods with broth that you can pour over rice and eat together.
- However, she’s not really a fan of dwaeji-gukbap (pork&rice soup)
- She absolutely loves xiaolongbao
- She only eats Peking duck if it’s from a really good place. Otherwise, she won’t eat it.
- She likes juk (* rice porridge), But then people around her will think she’s sick
- Xiaolongbao are technically dumplings too, but the reason she likes them is because the soup inside is so delicious.
- When it comes to instant noodles, she likes Neoguri
- She likes pasta.
