It was just a couple years ago; the message on BitcoinTalk; don’t mine to your own node — it won’t work. Ckpool was incompatible with Bitcoin core. The self sovereign mining ideal was way too hard to reach.

We're pretty confident that we've refunded 90%+ of the gas fees for failed TXs from yesterday's launch!
From this experience, it's become v clear that there's a lot of confusion around how gas fees for failed TXs work and what's actually lost. We'll follow up with a thread soon!
