Looks like we missed the exact moment neural interfaces turned from sci-fi into regular clothing.
The team at Sabi just closed a $50M round to build a beanie with a built-in brain reader. The idea is simple: put on the hat, think, and your thoughts turn into text on screen.
The main trick here is that their sensors don't need to press directly against your scalp or be surgically implanted like Neuralink. The chips are manufactured by TSMC, and the sensors work completely contact-free. If this thing actually pulls off high accuracy without needing half a day of calibration, input interfaces like keyboards and touchscreens might become obsolete pretty soon.
we've raised $50M from Khosla Ventures, Accel, Initialized, Kevin Weil, DST Global
to build the world's most wearable BCI cap at Sabi

🔮When will the next Google Gemini Pro model drop? Prediction markets aren't holding their breath
A Polymarket prediction market on the release date of the next Google Gemini Pro model shows traders are skeptical about a surprise launch anytime soon:
• 89% odds predict NO release by November 1.
• 3% odds for an October 19–25 launch.
• 1% odds for an October 26–November 1 launch.
With over $160,000 in trading volume, consensus is clear: traders believe Google will take its time before rolling out the next Pro iteration.
@testingcatalog Claude Dashboards and Motion turning data into code animations actually sounds insanely useful. Anthropic is quietly winning the workflow stack.
@testingcatalog The "Fusion" concept looks very powerful: cloud brain for planning + a local army of agents under the hood. The perfect balance between cost/confidentiality and efficiency of heavy tasks.I like it
🚀Claude just shipped a bunch of updates:
Docs, Slides, and Design are out of beta and now available on every plan, including Free. You and your team can edit the same doc, deck, or design together with Claude.
Also in beta:
📋 Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion. Ask Claude to turn your data into live dashboards, or reports and ideas into short animations written as code (no video model), so you can tweak any word, number, or timing and export an MP4.Claude is starting to look less like a chat and more like a full workspace.
🚨New Polymarket:
OpenAI -> OpenSI? Prediction Market Puts Rumors to Rest.
Have you heard the rumor that OpenAI might rename itself to OpenSI? We took a look at Polymarket-the leading prediction market platform-to see what the crowd thinks.
The chart speaks for itself:
🔹 Yes (Will rename): 3.4¢ (~3.4% probability)
🟥 No (Won't rename): 97.4¢ (~97.4% probability)
There was a brief spike of interest on the chart, but it has since dropped to near zero.
Traders and the market remain extremely skeptical about any rebranding effort.
It seems Sam Altman and the team aren't ready to abandon one of the most recognizable brands in AI to swap "AI" (Artificial Intelligence) for "SI" (Synthetic Intelligence / Super Intelligence)-even if their ambitions lean that way.
