As somebody with OCD: yea, they do.
I experience bad executive dysfunction when I’m having an episode. All I can do is think about the thing I’ve been obsessing over, so I don’t clean and I hardly take care of myself. OCD isn’t the “being organized disorder.”
It took years, it took therapy, it took patience and forgiveness from both my loved ones and myself, but it worked. Let the thoughts be, let them make you feel bad, but don't engage. If they're not a real threat, your brain will eventually drop them. Don't call the Mind Gorilla.
As funny as this is, exposure to subject matter that triggers you, tanking the pain, and ignoring the intrusive thoughts as overbearing as they may be is how you fix the obsession. The mind gorilla is a compulsion, and will keep you locked into the cycle. YMMV, of course.
Not doing the compulsion anymore is why I was able to get free from it. I had to force myself to go about my day and live my life while it flowed through my head to break the cycle. Eventually, since there was no reinforcement happening, they stopped, and my triggers subsided.
Iran indicates they’ll release videos of Trump molesting children if he bombs Iran. Israel will release the videos if he doesn’t bomb Iran.
His only option: bomb Israel.
i genuinely have no idea how they're gonna follow up a four-year run of rihanna, usher, kendrick lamar, and bad bunny for next year's halftime show. genuinely how do you go up from here
