A winner-take-all world is emerging, in which a small number of “hub firms” — including Alibaba, Amazon, Apple, Baidu, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and Tencent — occupy central positions. https://t.co/wasMuKOoE8
My team was called to the A&E to review a new patient. A group of men in kaftan broke through the gate and started demanding for the doctors on duty. Apparently, they lost a patient. And they came for the doctors. One of them, I learnt, is a political leader.

Pastor Tunde Ayeni once said something so profound - he said while some of you are making all these grandiose plans about this brilliant startup you want to launch , some old woman is frying Akara at the street corner and making a daily living - and in the eyes of the business community she is more of an entrepreneur than the guy with 40 page deck and no action, no hustle. In other words, as soon as possible start executing on that business don’t overthink and over plan. Business is about iteration not perfection. #EntrepreneurLife #Bitcoin

A few things I have learnt about life, while living life
1/ Nothing pisses the world off more than you being comfortable with who you are.
2/ Watching your kids grow up is heart breaking. Everyday they lose a bit of their innocence and become just as corrupt as we all are. That’s a precious life going away.
One day at a time.
3/ Money buys freedom. Freedom is a privilege.
4/ Listening to someone without judgement is the most precious gift you can give someone.
5/ Risk and failure is a state of mind.
There are no measurement scales for them.
We create them.
So we can destroy them too.
6/ We are not naturally trained to love ourselves. Learning how to do so is this journey called life
7/ You can neither chose your parents nor what they end up doing to you psychologically.
Be prepared to heal yourself, if you have to.
8/ The world will tell you that you have to have a plan.
To not have a plan and be ok with it, is the best plan.
9/ The world is designed to make our lives comfortable.
Avoiding the comfort trap is the difference between who you are and who you could have been.
10/ No one owes you their time and money.
And you don’t owe anyone either.
11/ Losing your temper is a sign that you have a long way to go.
12/ If you are comfortable dancing in public without alcohol or drugs, you are at peace with who you are.
13/ The world will always keep you in the news only if you do the unexpected.
No one covers the expected.
No one cares.
14/ The easiest way to learn from mistakes is to read books.
The next option is to commit them yourselves.
15/ Being in control of your time is being in control of your entire life.
There is nothing else worth controlling.
16/ Do not try and remember anything.
Write it down.
Keep a calendar.
Free your mind from remembering.
Use it for doing.
17/ If you do what everyone else will do, you will end up as everyone else.
18/ The years during which you work the hardest with nothing to show will be the years that will build you.
Those will also be the years the world will not even notice you.
19/ The world fears the person who doesn’t fear anything.
But it’s scarier for the world to face someone who embraces fear.
20/ Holding a grudge against someone requires a lot of effort.
Think of all the wasted time spent being mad at someone.
21/ Run away from those who make you responsible for their happiness.
You are not responsible for anyone else’s happiness.
22/ Being rich is not having more.
It is wanting less.
23/ Complaining has never ever got someone to the solution.
24/ Working out teaches you discipline and patience like few other things do.
25/ You outgrow relationships. And when you do, don’t be ashamed to move on.
26/ The most dangerous people are those who do not want to ever change.
They are also the most energy sucking.
27/ Being good at something and being happy doing it are two very different things.
28/ Don’t ever fool yourself to believe you deserve to be where you are in life. You are just plain lucky. Born into privilege, love, care and shelter. Sitting on opportunities that people smarter and more hard working than you do not get.
29/ Spend time with people who are not like you. You don’t want your world to create a bigger version of you. You want it to create a better version of you. That happens when beliefs are challenged and debated.
30/ Would you be friends with your own self? Would you marry your own self? Would you be your own boss?
If not, why are you still that version of yourself?
31/ True respect is when people know everything about you and still respect you. To get respect from a distance is easy. But that isn’t respect. It’s infatuation.
32/ he hardest thing in the world is to tell yourself that it’s not hard at all.
33/ You will get what you seek. Not what you desire. Not what you dream.
What you seek.
Fervently.
Today my sister was buried. The pain my family and I are going through is indescribable. To so many people Vwaere is just another sad story of how the Nigerian government has and continues to fail its people but she’s more than that. She was a daughter, granddaughter, sister,

I visited the Area Boys at oshodi recently, it was our first re-union in three months.
I wanted to make sure they were doing okay and also talk to them about the upcoming elections so they don't become pawns in another man's game.
A thread...
So today’s lesson is,
“Don’t spend major time on minor things , and don’t spend minor time on major things”.
Always do a heart check on what you are spending time on. Are they major or minor things wrt to your goals or what you want out of life.
What I learnt today:
I had always heard the phrase “Don’t major on the minor” but it made so much sense to me today when I heard Jim Rohn say -
“Don’t spend major time on minor things”
I came across the concept of “Fear-Setting” from Tim Ferriss in 2017.
I registered it as interesting, but didn't dive in until 2021, when I was going through my own big life changes that were scaring the hell out of me.
Here’s what it is (and how it can change your life):
Today, I paid over $1000 out of pocket for my miscarriage. They didn't tell me it would cost so much to lose a baby. Here are other things they don't tell you about miscarriages. A thread based on my experience. CW: miscarriage & infertility.
