New paper in Langenbeck's Archives of Surgery. We developed a 3D airway model–based simulation platform for minimally invasive bronchial sleeve resection for both VATS and robotic bronchial reconstruction. https://t.co/vZlfaxKqHq @AATSHQ@STS_CTsurgery@ctsnetorg#thoracicsurgery
Our Department of Thoracic & Thyroid Surgery has been selected as the Best Teaching Department by medical students at Kyorin University. My sincere gratitude goes to our entire team. Through education, we will continue to support and shape the next gen thoracic surgery.
Presented a video of cricotracheal resection at #STS2026 in New Orleans.
Grateful to the Society and my team for this opportunity. #STS2026@STS_CTsurgery
I had the privilege of delivering an update on tracheal surgery and serving as an instructor at the cadaver lab (with out 3D model) at The University of Hong Kong.
I would like to thank Dr. Michael Hsin for inviting me and the local faculty for their warm hospitality and support.
Congrats on the publication of our newest case report! @AATSHQ@AATSJournals#thoracicsurgery

Thank you for featuring our article of deep learning detection of pleural invasion of peripherally located small-sized NSCLC from VATS images! Spanish Society of Thoracic Surgery @SECTtoracica
Sublobar resection for small peripheral non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) (≤2 cm) has become a standard procedure. Retrospective studies have shown that pathological pleural invasion (pPL) is associated with an increased risk of local recurrence during sublobar resection. If pPL can be accurately assessed intraoperatively, conversion to lobectomy may reduce the risk of local recurrence associated with sublobar resection. The aim of this study was to develop a deep learning algorithm that predicts pPL from thoracoscopic images.

Surgical outcomes from AEGEAN (neoadjuvant durvalumab + chemo for NSCLC) now @JTOonline from @t_mitsudomi. Same rate of surgery for both arms (81%) with higher R0 resection rates with durvalumab (95% vs 91%) and no diff in time to adjuvant treatment.
