April Unkestine (Zuni) – Silversmith whose inlay jewelry captures Zuni iconography with striking detail.

Gloria Chee (Diné/Navajo) – Beader and wood carver crafting colorful, meaningful works rooted in Diné traditions.

Leo Chee (Diné/Navajo) – Accomplished silversmith known for bold, handcrafted traditional jewelry.

Meet and talk with April, Gloria and Leo, while they create and showcase their work in the Desert View Watchtower.

✅Tower Access: This summer, the upper floors of the tower are open, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The last tower access is at 5:00 pm, with the stairs closed for the day at 6:30 pm. Admission is free.

The Cultural Demonstration program provides an opportunity for park visitors and community members to interact with tribal artisans from Grand Canyon's traditionally associated tribes - and for them to share their history and crafts, along with the skills, knowledge, and efforts involved in creating their craft and art.
