Well done, Team India! After thrashing Pakistan, the Indian team didn’t even come out to shake hands with the losing side, as is customary.
The best part: Captain Suryakumar Yadav expressed solidarity with the families of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. He dedicated the win to the valour of our Armed Forces during Operation Sindoor and urged them to keep inspiring us.
Whoa!
As long as Pakistan uses its territory for terrorism against India, there can be no permanent peace. #Ceasefire or no ceasefire we must pursue the terrorists responsible for #Pahalgam attack.
I have always stood by the government & the armed forces against external aggression. This will continue.
I thank the armed forces for their bravery & their commendable skill. I pay homage to Army jawan, M Murali Naik, ADDC Raj Kumar Thapa & pray for all the civilians who were killed or injured during the conflict.
I hope this ceasefire gives respite to the people living in border areas.
I also hope that Indians and Indian political parties learn from the past two weeks: India is strong when it is united; our enemies benefit when Indians fight Indians.
I have some questions, and I hope the government will clarify:
1. I wish our PM @narendramodi had announced the ceasefire rather than the President of a foreign country. We have always been opposed to third party intervention since Simla (1972). Why have we now accepted it? I hope the Kashmir issue will not be internationalised, as it is our internal matter.
2. Why are we agreeing to talk on a neutral territory? What will be the agenda of these talks? Does the United States guarantee that Pakistan will not use its territory for terrorism?
3. Have we achieved our aim of deterring Pakistan from carrying out future terror attacks? Was our goal to get a Trump-brokered ceasefire or was it to bring Pakistan to such a position that it would not even dream of another terror attack?
4. We must continue the international campaign to put Pakistan in the FATF grey list.
If the west thinks that it can order India to sit quiet after arming Pakistan through an IMF aid at a time when Indian civilians are under attack, then it must understand that the time of their control over India is over. This is New India. We care about the safety and security of our people more than anything else.
Saw a video this morning of a Dogra man from a border town in Jammu saying, 'We've evacuated our kids, women, and elderly, but the men will stay to assist the Army.'
People living in India's border cities deserve applause. While the rest of us sit comfortably, discussing "tensions at the border" like it's just another headline, they live under the constant threat of war and attacks.
They hear the sirens. They’ve seen what shelling looks like. And yet, they stay. Their presence itself upholds our sovereignty. They open shops, send kids to school, go about life as normally as possible, not because they’re unaware of the risks, but because this is their home and they refuse to be pushed out by fear. Hats off brothers and sisters!
No nation should have to accept terrorist attacks being launched against it from land controlled by another country.
India is justified in striking terrorist infrastructure. There can be no impunity for terrorists.
