PM Modi has earned a proud place in history books because he knew when to launch military operations against terrorism and established a new doctrine: terrorism is war. Any arm's length alibi will never be accepted. Pakistan asked for a ceasefire because it learnt a hard lesson
Much more work remains to be done to restore normalcy in India-China border areas, post understanding on disengagement of 21 October. Modi-Xi meeting at Kazan has led to re-engagement but any hasty reset in ties will be ill-advised. My Op-Ed in @HindustanTimes this morning.
A 🧵on all the books I read in 2023. This year's list is dominated by IR theory, strategic studies, US politics, and research methodology, reflective both of personal interest & work imperative!

It's dangerous traveling in #IndianRailways Somebody threw a stone at the window of the moving train 12059. Shattered the glass. Fortunately nobody got hurt. Passengers regular on the route say this happens often. Public morality is so damaged it's unbelievable!

"#India’s #G20Presidency arrived 17 years after the commencement of Leaders’ Summit and is one of the most significant milestone moments of 🇮🇳 democracy. India’s #G20 Presidency had been a symbol of inclusion both within the country & beyond representing the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath’. India’s G20 Presidency was a People’s G20 which engaged millions of Indians, with over 200 meetings in 60 cities across the country. 🇮🇳’s Presidency of the G20 was built with all the friends of the “#GlobalSouth” who have been co-travellers for decades. It was India’s endeavour that there is no first world or third world but 'One World'" - Read more in the latest #ICWA Special Publication on "Contribution of the Indian Presidency to the G20 Process" by Shri V.
