I am begging youโฆ
If you grew up in a low class or middle class home, donโt skip this post.
Read it slowly.
Because one of the biggest lies poverty ever told us is this:
โIf you can just touch one million naira, your life is settled.โ
That is a lie.
Some people have made 5 million before and are still mentally poor.
Some people make money today and panic tomorrow.
Some people are earning well but still think like victims.
Getting money once or twice is not freedom.
Real freedom is this:
If life suddenly slows downโฆ If business stops for a whileโฆ If you fall sick for monthsโฆ Can you still survive without begging people?
That is when you know whether you escaped poverty or poverty is still living inside your mind.
Now listen carefully.
Poverty does not only empty your pocket.
It enters your mindset. It enters your emotions. It enters your identity.
And if you donโt consciously fight it, it will quietly destroy your future even after you start making money.
Here are some dangerous things poverty plants inside people:
Limiting Beliefs
This one is deadly.
You start believing certain things are โnot for people like you.โ
You want to start a business but your mind says: โPeople from my family donโt succeed like that.โ
You see rich people and immediately assume they are doing rituals or fraud.
You reduce your dreams before life even tests you.
Poverty trains people to think small before they even act.
Way out:
Expose yourself to bigger possibilities.
Read. Travel if you can. Watch interviews of successful people. Stay around ambitious people.
Your environment programmed your mind. You must now reprogram it intentionally.
Scarcity Mindset
This is why some people can never build wealth even when money enters their hands.
Scarcity mindset makes you believe there will never be enough.
So you begin to operate from fear.
You hide opportunities from friends. You become desperate. You rush every decision. You cannot think long term.
A scarcity mindset makes somebody eat all their seeds because they are scared tomorrow will not provide food.
Way out:
Start thinking in decades instead of days.
Learn high income skills. Build systems. Invest in relationships. Understand that value creates money repeatedly.
The world rewards people who solve problems consistently.
Fear of Huge Success
A lot of people are not actually afraid of failure.
They are afraid of success.
Because deep down, success feels unfamiliar.
They are scared of visibility. Scared of responsibility. Scared of being judged. Scared of outgrowing old friends.
So anytime they are close to blowing up, they sabotage themselves.
They procrastinate. They disappear. They suddenly lose consistency.
Way out:
Accept that growth will make some people uncomfortable.
You cannot become extraordinary and still remain everybodyโs version of you.
Get comfortable with being misunderstood.
Hatred For Successful People
This one is common in poor environments.
The moment somebody succeeds, people start saying:
โHe changed.โ โHe is proud.โ โHe thinks heโs better than us.โ
Some people secretly hate wealthy people because success reminds them of the life they have not built.
Instead of learning from successful people, they attack them emotionally.
Way out:
Train yourself to admire success instead of envying it.
Study successful people. Learn their habits. Learn how they think.
You cannot hate what you are praying to become.
Attachment To Money
People who grew up lacking money often become emotionally attached to it.
Every naira feels like oxygen.
So they overwork. Overstress. Overpanic.
Some cannot enjoy life. Some cannot invest. Some cannot give. Some cannot rest.
Because losing money feels like losing safety.
Way out:
Build multiple sources of income slowly.
The more stable your income becomes, the less fear controls your decisions.
Also understand this:
Money is a tool. Not your identity.

I was dead for 3 years!
I just got back on X after surviving death by hunger for 3 whole years.
I lost money, lost name, lost credibility, but I never lost hope.
Iโm not fully back on my feet, but I have come far to prove to myself that I am indestructible.
Moving forward, I will be showing those who care the things Iโve learnt about coming back from the dead after 3 years under.
Am I welcome?

@KennyNwokoye@OPay_NG They have been doing this with me for a while. Once they see that a lot of their users have paid the same amount into one particular account within a short period of time, they start showing them that stupid warning. It is annoying for real.
