I’m hearing of multiple organizations pulling back on their token spend due to low ROI on their AI deployments. If the AI trade falters it would be a major problem for . . . well the entire economy at this point.
The AI bubble is self-correcting at this point. They have only three ways forward:
1) Raise more private money. This will be hard as they are running out of bagholders, and product liability is stacking up.
2) Try, somehow, to IPO in 2027, which will require filing an S-1, exposing the depths of their predicaments.
3) Dramatically raise prices and deal with other business realities and liabilities.
All of these options mean that a big shakeout is coming. Everything else is hand-waving.
@ashebytes AI will change everything forever and in unimaginable ways; however, these models ain't it.
People are starting to realize this.
I believe we're in the midst of a massive hype cycle, and this furore is nothing more than its death knell.
A Princeton study just proved LLMs can't reason and they won't be taking your jobs.
Devasting to the "AI" narrative that trillions of dollars has been spent on.
