it turns out that the concept of DAY6’s 5th fan meeting, EVERY DAY6, EVERY My Day, (multiverse, time travel with beautiful stage) is inspired by this movie, Everything Everywhere All at Once.

after living all kinds of lives in various multiverses, no matter which universe it is, what matters is that we, DAY6 and My Day are together🥹

- the washing machines in the opening VCR. this is an homage to EEAAO, where the protagonist runs a laundromat.
- Shxtty Game as the opening song fits the movie’s premise: the main character’s current life is the worst/most failed version among all her multiverse selves.
- answering the phone with a shoe, just like in the movie, the characters jump universes by doing random, nonsensical actions (chewing lip balm, swapping shoes, etc). answering a phone with a shoe is interpreted as “possessing another universe’s version of yourself.”
- the final VCR shows DAY6 living many different multiverse lives and concluding that “no matter the universe, what matters is being together.” then Finale as the encore song with lyrics “no need to go back anymore” “the place where you are became the destination”, this mirror the movie’s ending, after experiencing everything, the character chooses this life and this moment with the people she loves. it feels like a lifelong promise between DAY6 and My Day.

🦊fan meetings are really nice. of course, even at concerts i know there are people watching us and my days cheering for us, but this is different. these are the real my days. like… in this space, i get the feeling that no matter what i do, you’ll still support me. that makes me able to fool around more and act more freely. so i really want to say thank you for spending time with me in a space like this. did you enjoy today? does it feel like you laughed a lot? i’m so glad. we’ll keep working hard to show you good music and good sides of us in the future too. just… i hope you stay well. if you’re living well, we’ll come see you again soon. you can do that, right? then let’s make a promise to live well~ let’s eat well and live well. i hope you’ve been living well. alright then, thank you for coming all this way today. it’s gotten quite cold. seriously… um… if you don’t want to sound stuffy in the nose, please dress warmly when you go out. please stay healthy. it was another enjoyable night. thank you! i love you~
