#YearInReview: Like every year, I come before you with a review of my work.
2025 has been a year of generosity and grace, of receiving help, warmth, and validation from people who saw my work and respected it. It has also been a year of strain: long stretches of self-doubt, exhaustion, and a constant negotiation with myself to be better. Sometimes I rose to the occasion. And at other times, I only learned where I fell short. This year, I stepped into new routines and unfamiliar terrains, took on new kinds of labour, and even marched ahead to find collective ways of articulating anguish (AQI protests). I won’t romanticise this but I will say it plainly: living and working independently, without the safety net of an institution, has been worth every second. The freedom is terrifying, yes, but it is also deeply honest.
As I step into a new year, I carry with me a few unfinished tasks (my first book is top on that list) which I am determined to complete at the earliest. I hope to begin a few new projects as well, and I trust that the generous, thoughtful people who have walked alongside me on this professional journey will continue to do so. I often tell friends that Twitter has been a blessing. People here have reached out without obligation or agenda, offering wisdom, help, critique, and encouragement. That kind of unsolicited solidarity is rare, and I do not take it lightly.
To all of you: thank you. I will try to do even better in 2026!
Now, a thread of my work.

This is not a “gig economy success story”.
This is systemic exploitation hidden behind apps & algorithms.
I raised this issue in Parliament recently. Low pay, crushing targets, no job security, no dignity for gig workers.
This Blinkit case only confirms what millions live every day.
India cannot build a digital economy on the backs of underpaid, overworked human beings.
Fair wages, humane hours and social security for gig workers are non-negotiable.
Throwing syringe after vaccination, touching / kissing on cheek is not standard practice. In fact without all this drama , they cry for less than a minute & are fine. it is better to cry when pain is experienced..

I am Sumit Nagal, India’s No.1 Tennis player
I am supposed to fly to China soon to represent India at the Australian Open Playoff. But my visa was rejected without reason
Your urgent help would be much appreciated 🙏🏽
For the public and patients, please do not stop vaccinating your children. You don't want polio to come back. You don't want measles to kill your child like it is doing in the US because boomer uncles in charge of US Health Departments have become anti science.
The conclusions of this study are not credible either. The "authors" who themselves are a bunch of antivaxxers, funded by an antivaxx organization, who published the study on their own antivaxx website. Not peer reviewed, not scrutinized.
The low IQ authors have selectively amplified weaker associations while dismissing robust epidemiological data from millions showing no vaccine-autism link.
The largest study ever on this, a Danish study found no association between childhood vaccines and 50 different health conditions, including autism, asthma, and autoimmune diseases. Here is the evidence, unlike the pathetic links shown by the other guy.

I had already called out this barefoot walking, urine-guzzling loving CEO boomer uncle before on his bullshit on medical and science, but it seems like he needs to bad mouth science and medical discoveries to keep his head floating above water level on social media considering the fact that his Arattai Messenger App and his Zohodotcom email is going the Koo way right into the gutters.
These health Illiterates have themselves taken these vaccines, given their children their vaccines, and saw them enjoy longevity and now advising others to consider stopping vaccinations. How selfish and bigoted can this get?
Uncle ji, a wise Gujarati chessmaster once told me, "Stay in your Lane", before he got busted out of his game trying to glorify pseudoscience. You also do the same and use the X payout from this engagement to fix your Arattai and Cherattai and whatever third rate app you are cooking up to fool your spinal level thinking bhakt pals. Ok?
Delete your post you lime soda without fizz.
How is this case different from the RG kar Or the recent Durgapur doctor rape of West Bengal ?
The fact this is happening in Maharashtra should hang our heads in shame and raise questions to @Dev_Fadnavis of why no action was taken when the lady doctor earlier wrote complaint to their senior police officer?
The amount of harassment doctors face in this system is inhumane ,cruel and barbaric !
🚨 Outrage in #Satara 🚨
A woman doctor serving at a government hospital in Satara district has Allegedly died due to #suicide , leaving behind a suicide note written on her hand.
In that chilling note, she accused PSI Gopal Badane of raping her repeatedly over five months, and alleged that another officer, Prashant Bankar, mentally harassed and intimidated her throughout this period.
This is not just a crime - it’s a monstrous betrayal of power and trust.
When those sworn to protect become predators, the entire system stands guilty.
Justice must not just be demanded,it must be delivered.

Nowadays, in defence coaching, harassment is done in the name of coaching and then their videos are uploaded on social media without the permission of the students.
I request the government to stop this type of coaching as soon as possible.
MEET THE HEROES OF THE NATIONAL TASK FORCE
When a Rape in a government hospital ( #RGKAR) shook the nation,
the Supreme Court trusted these intellectuals to ensure doctors’ safety.
They said -“No extra security needed just trained security personnel!
They rejected the Central Protection Act.
👉Today, another sister is raped in #Durgapur , near her own medical college campus,
while doctors continue to face daily attacks and brutality.
Where are those intellectuals now?
Busy collecting their healthcare awards and giving lectures on “empathy”? #medtwitter
Unbelievable!😱🙄
Health ministry advisory asking hospitals/clinics/doctors to procure products made under Good Manufacturing Practices, using safe ingredients
Really?!
How are they supposed to do that?
Isn't that the job of drug regulator, to ensure all drugs in market are safe?
I have sent this representation for the immediate release of Shri Sonam Wangchuk to the President of India, Prime Minister of India, Home Minister, Law Minister of India, and the LG of Ladakh, with a cc to DC Leh.
This rule must apply to all government offices, both central and state governments, successfully tested there for implications, and then rolled out everywhere else. LEAD BY EXAMPLE.
Slavery Mindset.
A viral thread by @Khurpench
alleged that the PDF metadata used by @RahulGandhi
to support claims of 'vote theft' shows a 'Create Date' with a +6:30 time offset, matching Myanmar's time zone, rather than India's +5:30.
@vivekagnihotri Are you seriously making children watch an Adult rated film?
This should be a crime. You are traumatising their childhood by showing them so much blood, gore and violence.
This is unbelievable but true. Prof Jagdeep Chhokar, one of the founders of the Association for Democrtic Reforms, who featured prominently in this film on Maharashtra elections, passed away early this morning following a heart attack. Public statement by Paranjoy Guha Thakurta
Tuesday 09 September 2025
Gurugram, Haryana
To whom it may or may not concern and especially to my well-wishers:
On the evening of Saturday 06 September 2025, the Rohini Courts in New Delhi, passed an ex parte interim injunction against me in a defamation suit filed by Adani Enterprises Limited, the plaintiff. The case concerns my reporting and my analytical articles and statements on the corporate conglomerate headed by Shri Gautam Adani, one of the richest men in India and the world. Ex parte means that the court order was passed without hearing my version of events and circumstances.
This is the seventh defamation case against me filed by lawyers representing Adani Group companies from 2017 onwards that are currently pending in various courts of law, five in Gujarat, one in Rajasthan and the latest in New Delhi. All these cases are being contested.
I have been a journalist for almost 50 years, and have worked for numerous organisations across print, broadcast, and digital media. I am accredited by the Government of India’s Press Information Bureau (PIB) for more than 35 years. In addition, I am an author, publisher, a maker of documentary films and music videos and an educator. I have been a freelancer for around 15 years.
Along with me, four other independent journalists Ravi Nair, Abir Dasgupta, Ayaskant Das, and Ayush Joshi are respondents in the lawsuit. We are all independent journalists, who have, from time to time, collaborated and worked with one another to write and put together articles and videos.
I have noted media reports that allege that I have published “false and unverified reports, aligned with anti-India interests, and have been continuously targeting Adani Enterprises … disrupted [its] projects with ulterior motives.” The reports further allege that my “interference has led to the straining of the balance sheets of the Adani Group and delayed key investment plans.”
I wish to state with all the conviction I can muster that these allegations are false, unfounded, and scurrilous, and have been made without granting me a right of response. I stand by my reporting which is verified, factual, fair, balanced, unbiased, and conducted without fear or favour.
I have full faith in the judiciary of India and remain confident that all the articles that I have authored or co-authored and all the statements that I have made are not just truthful and accurate but always in the public interest. I intend to vigorously contest the defamation claims made against me by Adani Enterprises Limited and will place my arguments before the court at the earliest opportunity.
Thank you for your support and your solidarity.

Kerala has one of the lowest infant deaths in India at 5 per 1,000 births, while the national average is 25. But states like UP, MP and Chhattisgarh still lag behind.
Infant Mortality Rate (IMR), considered a vital measure of healthcare quality, is just 5 per 1,000 live births in Kerala, the lowest among all bigger states and far below the national average.
An IMR of 5 is an incredible achievement for Kerala’s health system, as it is even lower than the current infant mortality rate of 5.6 in United States.
Laura Loomer is a very controversial person. But she is very close to Trump. Her tweets make Trump’s administration take action and she has ears of what Trump administration is upto.
Her followers include Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, FBI Director Kash Patel, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles and Stephen Miller, Trump's chief domestic policy adviser.
Recently when US government allowed some from Gaza for medical treatment, she severely criticised Secretary of State, Marco Rubio for the decision. There was an uproar in MAGA and state department immediately banned all visas from Gaza.
Trump praises her as a very good patriot and fires even very senior people whom Laura Loomer identifies as not fully loyal to Trump. Her whole career has been built on hate mongering and being blindly loyal to Trump.
Today there are many Twitter handles reporting a development which would severely hurt India. Laura Loomer who knows deeply what is happening inside Trump’s administration, has posted few hours ago that President Trump is now considering blocking US IT companies from outsourcing their work to Indian companies. Trump has vehemently opposed outsourcing to India in a tech majors meeting last month.
Lot of Americans on Twitter are supporting this development and asking for bringing IT jobs back to America and giving them back to Americans, more so white Americans.
Laura Loomer saying this after Trump had a dinner meeting with all tech CEOs two days ago, lends credence to her statement.
India is in for very tough times.
