Overall, it's a solid movie, with sparks of genius that I hope to see sharpened with Parsons' experience into some future film ( not necessarily in the same universe ) that is truly brilliant.
Saw Kane Parsons' ( he's 21 now, by the way ( man, that's going to sound creepy to everyone who doesn't know the meme ) ) Backrooms. A solid 7-8/10. Worth a watch.
The short film delves into the lore, but, for me, it's fundamentally less interesting than the actual characters who interact with it, who are my lens into this world, and so I left that short film a little disappointed and apathetic.
@halo2forthexbox Irrelevant to the argument going on here: I read this in the voice of Andrew Ryan.
"Is this a Honda? 'No,' says the man in Washington, 'It's an Accord.' 'No,' says the man in the Vatican, 'It's a CRV.' 'No,' says the woman in the video, 'It's an American Bully.'"
@krembeni To be fair to you, that fight against the tank really pushes the limit of MGS1's controls given you can't move and aim independently ( so you're fighting the controls to both dodge the tank and point at it so you can hurl a grenade at it when the hatch opens ).
