자기 삶의 퀄리티는 '자기 통제력'에 달려 있다.

1. 세상이 변화하는 속도는 늘 내가 적응할 수 있는 범위를 벗어나 질주하는 듯하다. 그럴 때마다 불쑥 마음속에 뒤처지고 있다는 불안이 고개를 든다. 그런데 잠시 멈춰 서서 생각해봤다. 누가 따라오라고 한 것도 아니고, 순위를 매기는 것도 아닌데 왜 나는 늘 스스로를 이렇게 불안하게 만드는 걸까.

2. 오늘날 인간은 하루 평균 174종의 신문을 읽는 것과 같은 양의 정보를 뇌에 구겨 넣고 있다는 글을 접한 적이 있다. 그것도 쉬지 않고. 직장인의 최대 집중 시간은 3분이라고 한다. 멀티태스킹과 제너럴리스트의 시대에, 하나에 온전히 몰입하는 일은 사치처럼 느껴진다.

3. 일요일 낮, 나는 서가에 꽂힌 책 하나를 펼쳤다. 약 2년 전 베스트셀러로 화제가 되었던 <<도둑맞은 집중력>>이다. 이 책을 읽고 나를 포함한 많은 사람들은 찬사를 보냈다. 우리가 찾고 있던 책이자, 반드시 필요했던 메시지라고.

4. 하지만 AI 시대로 접어들며 그때의 반짝였던 회복에 대한 갈구는 파도에 휩쓸린 듯 사라졌다. 생각해보면 이 시대, 이 나라만큼 무언가가 빠르게 타올랐다가 빠르게 식어버리는 풍경을 보기도 드물다. 책 속에서도, 요즘 내 일상에서도 나는 같은 지점에서 마음이 아프다. 바로 내가 내 삶을, 일상을, 하루를, 매 순간을 주도하지 못하고 있다는 사실이다.

5. 주도는커녕, 통제조차 하지 못한다. 심지어 이 사실을 자각하지 못한 채 살아가고 있기도 하다. 현실의 삶은 팍팍하고 복잡하고 머리가 아프다. 그래서 우리는 모든 관심과 에너지를 현실 밖의 삶으로 돌린다. 물론 이 모든 과정을 개인의 탓으로만 돌릴 수는 없다. 그럼에도 이 문제를 마주하고 풀어갈 수 있는 출발점은 결국 개인이라고 믿는다.

6. 그래서 나를 통제하기 위한 몇 가지 원칙을 세워보기로 했다. 잠들기 전과 잠에서 깬 후 30분은 절대 휴대폰을 보지 않기. 걷거나 무언가를 할 때도 휴대폰을 들여다보지 않기. 아이를 돌볼 때는 더욱 휴대폰을 멀리하기. 내 삶을 휴대폰 안에 구겨 넣지 않기.

7. 이렇게 적어놓고 보니, 마치 자제력을 잃어버린 사람의 고백처럼 느껴진다. 물론 이 모든 걸 바로 실천에 옮기기는 쉽지 않을 것이다. 그래도 나는 스스로를 통제할 수 있는 사람이 되고 싶다. 그것이 내 삶의 퀄리티를 높여줄 거라 믿는다. 나를 위해서라도, 그렇게 한 번 살아보고 싶다.

🚨South Korea’s Transport Ministry Turned Down Tesla’s Offers to Supply FSD Test Vehicles.

Tesla Korea proposed, at least twice, to support a government safety review of Full Self-Driving and to provide test vehicles for that work. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport did not take up those offers.

In November 2025, Tesla Korea proposed cooperation on a domestic safety verification and offered test vehicles for that purpose.

In July 2026, before the launch of FSD V14 Lite, it again offered technical and safety materials and renewed the proposal for a government-level safety review backed by test vehicles.

That outreach has not produced a joint review. The Korea Transportation Safety Authority has no record of directly testing, evaluating, or analyzing FSD.

The transport ministry’s position is that it is not in separate consultations with Tesla Korea.

Taken together, the record points to a rejection: Tesla Korea offered vehicles and materials for an official safety check, and the ministry did not accept or pursue that cooperation.

물론 제 번역이 완벽하지는 않을 겁니다. AI의 도움도 최대한 받겠지만, 인터뷰에 등장하는 사람마다 억양이나 말투에 담긴 뉘앙스가 달라 한계는 있겠죠..ㅎ

제가 관심 있는 기업이나 투자하면서 놓치기 아깝다고 느낀 인터뷰를 중심으로 자막을 달아 공유하겠습니다. 로켓맨 구독자분들께 먼저 공개하고, 약간의 시차를 두고 일반 공개로도 올릴 예정입니다.
