@three_cube But you still have to connect to one of public network to access internet which means again give off your location and identity plus it's not mobile just stays in one place
Mobile Forensics on a Thursday morning⚡️.
Cables are not just passive connectors in mobile forensics; they directly influence data acquisition quality, device state, and forensic integrity.
A cable provides the physical communication channel between the mobile device and the forensic workstation. The cable must support data transfer lines (D+ / D-), not just power. Cheap or charging-only cables lack these lines, preventing any forensic communication.
Protocol Negotiation and Mode Switching.
When a device is connected, the cable enables protocol negotiation such as:
a. MTP (Media Transfer Protocol)
b. PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol)
c. ADB (Android Debug Bridge)
d. DFU / Recovery modes (iOS)
If the cable is unstable or poorly shielded:
a. Enumeration may fail
b. Device may disconnect mid-acquisition
c. Forensic tools cannot establish a reliable session
Forensic Mode Access (Low-Level Extraction)
Advanced forensics depends heavily on specialized cables:
a. JTAG cables → direct memory access via test points
b. ISP cables → chip-level extraction without removing storage
c. EDL cables (Qualcomm Emergency Download Mode) → force device into low-level access mode
These cables:
a. Bypass OS-level protections
b. Enable physical acquisition, including deleted data and unallocated space
The little thing in the middle is a card reader for SIM cards.
@ProtonFission @GrapheneOS@Bean_Is_Life@babysolo_ Oh you forget to mention one thing ios soon will require facial id verification just for so called security off course and just for security . That's the feature @GrapheneOS don't provide . i know now it's more secure as you say with 2-3 reincarnation experience of security
@MilagroMovies@Flipkart@amazon no big deal they do same like 2 week to deliver and 3 week pickup damaged order . lamo when asked said sir we are very sorry
@gautamph@ArviBharat@pushpendrakum Yeah he is living in some different world don't know your passport won't pass if you don't bribe policemen came for verification . if you don't just a simple fir you can't leave the country irrespective of you got an offer or just going for a conference or travel .
@Cr0writer @turtlecute33@GrapheneOS@grok Agree but doing certain things makes harder which better than nothing . And as usual nothing is perfect irrespective of anything.
