IKA just announced they’re shutting down their Discord, citing scam risks and user safety.

On the surface, that sounds responsible.

But let's zoom out.

Every serious crypto project deals with scams.
Ethereum projects.
Solana projects. L2s.
Exchanges. All of them.

Discord has always been messy : bots, fake links, phishing.
That's not unique to IKA.

So the real question is:

Why fully shut it down instead of restructuring it?

• Why not lock channels to read only?
• Why not implement stricter verification?
• Why not reduce channel access instead of deleting the public hub entirely?

Community Discord isn't just a chat room.
It's where transparency lives.

It's where:
– Builders ask technical questions
– Validators coordinate publicly
– Users raise concerns
– Teams get held accountable in real time

Now everything moves to:
*Follow our X account for updates
And closed Telegram groups for validators/builders.

That reduces public visibility!

When communication becomes one-directional, trust usually takes a hit.

Is the project shutting down? No official statement says that.
Is Discord closure automatically a red flag? Not necessarily.

But in crypto history, when community spaces start disappearing, people get cautious and for good reason.

Especially for a project that was previously associated with massive valuation numbers.

Transparency builds confidence.
Silence builds speculation.

If this is truly about safety, fair.
But clarity matters more than ever right now.

Not spreading FUD.
Just asking the questions that any serious community member should ask!
