(As a side note, white men usually don’t understand the value and power of representation in games - or movies or comics or tv - because they’ve always had plenty of it. Seeing someone like you hits a lot harder if you’re a woman, or black, or gay, or have vitiligo).
Do we fall off if we jump while on a moving vehicle?
When you jump up on a vehicle that’s traveling at a constant velocity, you don’t fall off because you and the vehicle are moving at the same speed. According to Newton’s first law of motion, also known as the law of inertia, an object will remain in uniform motion in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force. This means you’ll land in the same spot inside the vehicle from where you jumped.
However, if the vehicle is accelerating or decelerating, the situation changes. If the vehicle speeds up while you’re in the air, you’ll land behind the spot you jumped from because the vehicle has moved forward. Conversely, if the vehicle slows down, you’ll land ahead of the spot you jumped from because the vehicle has moved back.
Additionally, if the vehicle is moving at a higher speed, the increased wind resistance may slow you down while you're in the air.
