@ColinLeMahieu@Justin_Bons Sharding probably cannot scale infinitely, but up to a certain extent where the state is so fragmented that the overhead from IPC negates the benefit of sharding.
solang looks like an awesome way to onboard EVM people now that they don’t have to justify learning Rust
ofc understanding the account model is the biggest learning curve for devs but this really does lower the entry barrier imo
@mert imo EVM route definitely has a lower learning curve because of how straightforward and familiar Solidity is to the average dev, not to mention the complexity of solana accounts (PDAs, rent, tokens/NFTs took me a while to wrap my head around initially)
I’m starting to appreciate choosing the right tech stack now that I’m building stuff that matters instead of just going with whatever is popular/easy
I used to literally pick the libraries that had the most GitHub stars wtf
Other standout projects include @agoracourts, built by @IllinoisCS students @0xbluebear and @VarunSiva14. They were raising funds to launch an on-chain arbitration platform focused on allowing other protocols to integrate fully customisable disputes between any number of users 💫
