@blockdigest If you actually do the math, and it’s cocktail napkin math, any highly adopted version of Bitcoin+LN is going to have to restrict settlement to HUGE transactions sent between a small number of capital intensive parties. Basically it’s an enterprise net for banks and exchanges.

@frankrietta this is a great question that recently burned us. We have some manual scale tests but have not solved the fundamental question. In some hardware-related testing we run the "expensive" tests over the weekend (more compiter-vs-human time), but it's still not quite a solution
