Can we really rely on @CoinMarketCap for accurately tracking projects? 🤔

One of the most used centralized app by advocates of decentralization might not be as community-friendly as it seems.

Here's why:

They charge a whopping $5000 for a listing/update of tokens and $50,000 for listing/update of exchanges. 💸

They promote those services as a priority service, but if you contact them for a listing/update without the priority tag, they'll still ask for that hefty amount via email.

Yes, they do have a self-reporting dashboard that can be accessed for free, but you can't change critical information through it. 🔄

This just means: Pay to update. How reliable can this be if projects need to shell out money just to make updates? 🤷

I get it—they need revenue streams. But this one seems over the top!

What if FANG companies started charging money to update your profile? The backlash would be enormous!

This model might be lucrative for CoinMarketCap, but is it sustainable or fair? It certainly raises a lot of eyebrows. 🧐
