I didn’t want to live the same life my parents and grandparents lived.

30+ years working manual labor to barely be able to retire comfortably.

I knew I had to do something different.

Went all in crypto during the late 2017 cycle, made a little, lost it all by November 2018.

Told myself that would be the last time I would lose it all again.

Went down rabbitholes on personal finance, investing, trading and risk management (Shoutout @CryptoCred and @patrick_oshag.)

Kept DCAing from 2018-2020 into ETH/XTZ while not gambling the stack away

Made friends who were hungry to succeed along the way and stuck together.

Pandemic hit in 2020, started working from home instead of commuting to the office which let me put even more time into the space.

Started aping early uniswap shitcoins with 2 ETH from my stash when my group chats couldn’t stop talking about them. I knew if I lost the ETH it wasn’t a huge deal.

Always was happy taking out half on a double or third on a triple and rolling capital into new shit.

I was playing the current metas and not looking for long term holds or communities to join. I was only trying to stack more ETH.

Got lucky on a few things, built up a nice base of ETH. Started trading punks (shoutout trill) because it was clear to me they were the party hats of crypto and underpriced (my first punk was $1200~)

Knew I could now denominate my portfolio in punks, because I thought they would outpace ETH (they were < 10 ETH at the time I decided to do this)

While in punks, fell into the art blocks rabbit hole, minted 50~ squiggles, 20 singularities, and a few other projects through January 2021. Had a cost basis of maybe 12 ETH on everything.

Had a plan where I would sell my squiggles to get my cost basis back (squiggles were sub 1 ETH) and then hold the rest to “see what would happen”

Kept trading punks and stacking them while spending 8+ hours a day in punks discord learning about any and every hot thing in the space. Continued making incredible friends.

Eventually shit got absolutely ridiculous and my portfolio was worth over 8 figures. Sold a bunch (but never enough) Made some angel investments. Set money aside in UST and threw it into anchor for a few months.

Realized UST may not be kosher a few months later so withdrew it all to my bank (through FTX😅)

Held a bunch of shit and watched my liquid net worth drawdown 70%+ after taxes.

Rebalanced my portfolio during the bear into longer term plays I had the most conviction in.

Kept a stack to degen into shiny new things with.

Now we are here. Hoping we can stay lucky and run back another cycle.
