"It never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It always was my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight! It is no trick at all to be right on the market. You always find lots of early bulls in bull markets and early bears in bear markets. I've known many men who were right at exactly the right time, and began buying or selling stocks when prices were at the very level which should show the greatest profit. And their experience invariably matched mine--that is, they made no real money out of it. Men who can both be right and sit tight are uncommon." ~ Edwin Lefevre

@Johnddt@UchePOkoye Another thing to note, [according to recorded history; European history, as Africans don't keep much recorded history], Brazilians brought cassava processing skills to Africa. My opinion is that "cassava processing skills" & cassava cultivation are two different skills - Abacha??
@Johnddt@UchePOkoye The Akpu we ate was made of yam initially, cos the Igbo domesticated yams
20th century, a lot of yams was affected by pests creating famines
But 19th century returning slaves from Brazil already brought garri processing skills home, garri then became popular due to the famine.
@asemota Why everybody & their dog wants to be involve in Nig politics as that's the only true wealth multiplayer
I hav spent time w wealthy politicians who's lost power, they swore to me that in future they'd do all they can to never be in the opposition as that was their biggest error
@asemota Also, it's almost impossible to build sustainable wealth in Nigeria as it appears a lot of things are jostling to bring one down.
In many parts of the world, building wealth is like a ladder, you just do something for a period of time and let the economy float you upwards.
@asemota A friend who started with events then built a night club then went into the hotels business opening multiple locations, he employs hundreds of workers. Today he's vowed not to do any biz that'll use electricity or construction
Now he's staring a dealership for Changan vehicles.
@asemota After the lack of stable, reliable & affordable electricity. The second most important issue facing biz'ses in Nigeria today, is the headache of multiple taxation. This "IGR" madness is the bane of biz'ses & one of the major reasons most close shop after about a year.
@asemota@cchukudebelu The APC, like the Moslem Brotherhood will eventually end up a proscribed party & its members hunted
Egypt had strong institutions to stop the extremists from polluting the national politics, which is exactly where Nigeria is falling short.
So Nigerians, who will bell the cat?
@AgbaMan14872@asemota Their ratings are always relevant in the sense that they affect our borrowing costs and our "risk" profile which is very important for a happy borrower country like NG
@asemota The Earth doesn't have the resources to support AI: its energy & cooling needs.
The coming wars will be fought over fresh water & the global unemployment AI will create.
People will realise the collapse of companies like SpaceX which has now become a Ponzi is +ve for humanity
@asemota Some say the SpaceX IPO is the "sell signal" though. It's a massive extraction event often marking the top of a bull market
The Emerging Markets Indexes, Precious Metals, The Bond Markets, & Real Estates are all currently undervalued & will get the next capitals rotation episode
@asemota I understand you sir. Just saying the US stocks have now become abt 30 times overvalued & what all these firms raising funds are really doing is preparing for the giant crash they know is coming, so they can buy back at -90% the current price at the expense of the working masses.
@asemota Also with what's happening with the Mag7, where all these giants that used to dominate their individual areas, currently have all suddenly become "AI" companies, & look to be the top brand while subtly sabotaging one another & at the same time all raising massive cash/ war chest
@Anthonytyga Water can be measured in inches versus litres when comparing depth over an area to total volume. An inch of water over a 1sq ft area is roughly 2.3 litres.
Across a 1sq meter plot of soil, 1inch of water is equivalent to 25.4 litres.
So she's right, inches of water!
