The BLACKfrica team held her very first physical meet, and saying it was "Haahhmazing" doesn't even cover it 🤭🔥
We set the start time for 2:30 PM. The team, in true fashion, trickled in all afternoon 😂🥹
Late or not, the energy in the room was unmatched.
A thread 🧵👇
Fund Streaming.
Instead of sending a payment all at once, businesses can set an amount and duration and let the funds flow continuously.
Perfect for salaries, grants, subscriptions and recurring contributor payments.
Set it up once. Let the money keep moving.
Got a community to reward? A campaign to run? A whole lot of wallets staring at you?
Send the tokens where they need to go without turning your day into a spreadsheet marathon.
Set the rules. Pick the recipients. Hit distribute.
Your wallet army can handle the rest
Web3 has spent a lot of time making assets programmable. The next question is whether we can make financial operations programmable at the same level.
That distinction matters for businesses.
A company does not wake up thinking about smart contracts. It thinks about payroll, suppliers, contributors, treasury, settlements and cash flow. The technology becomes useful when those ordinary activities can be handled with less manual coordination.
Imagine a business defining how a pool of funds should be distributed, setting the conditions once, and allowing the infrastructure to execute those instructions as the conditions are met.
The value is in the process.
Fewer manual interventions. Better visibility. More predictable execution.
That is where programmable finance starts moving from an interesting blockchain concept into something businesses can actually build around.
We are privileged to be making preparations to receive a distinguished father, mentor, and enduring source of inspiration to our generation.
His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State.
Last year in Abuja, we were honoured to convene a similar gathering of leaders.
We remain deeply grateful to God for His guidance.
The impact of that engagement continues to resonate, and we trust this forthcoming occasion will further strengthen the Web3 ecosystem with lasting, positive effect.

Fund streaming deserves more attention
Instead of moving a lump sum and waiting for the next payment cycle, funds can flow continuously over a defined period. Salaries, grants, subscriptions, contributor payments and allowances can all take this form
It turns a payment from a single event into a steady flow, giving money a little more movement and flexibility
We’ll be unpacking this and more of what’s happening across Web3.

The CLOCK IN Mobile Hackathon
On Friday’s stream, we talked about the rise of mobile-first crypto and how devices like the Solana Seeker are opening up new possibilities for on-chain apps.
That brings us to CLOCK IN, a 30-day hackathon built specifically for the Seeker Android device.
The focus here is mobile-native experiences, with a $135,000 prize pool, including $30,000 for first place and a $10,000 SKR bonus for the best integration.
If you’re a mobile developer looking to build for Solana’s growing hardware ecosystem, this one is worth checking out.
Submissions close October 8, 2026.
And make sure you join us this Friday for another episode of the stream. More opportunities, more industry gist, and more of what’s happening across the ecosystem.
Road to Devcon 8: Campus Outreach wrap-up
Fundamentals of Blockchain and Web3 | Session 1
Ethereum Nigeria just ran Session 1 of the Road to Devcon 8 campus series: a fundamentals Space aimed at campus leads, student builders, and anyone starting a chapter.
Hosted by @EthereumNigeria, co-hosted by hashira @muspro__dev - security researcher and blockchain engineer - with speakers from @PolygonNigerian@0x_moze@Danny_Ude + a repost from @EFDevcon and the wider builder set.
This was not a hype session. The brief was practical: what blockchain actually is, how Web3 differs from Web2, why campus chapters matter in Africa, and what it takes to BUIDL with a security mindset before anyone ships.
What the session was built around
Fundamentals first. Blockchain as a shared, verifiable ledger.
Why decentralization, consensus, and immutability matter.
Wallets, keys, transactions, and the difference between holding an account and understanding the system underneath it.
Ethereum as the execution layer students will actually use.
Smart contracts, testnets, L2s, and why “I deployed a token” is not the same as understanding the EVM.
Web3 as infrastructure, not just coins.
Ownership, open-source tooling, permissionless access, and how campus groups can use that stack for real problems - payments, credentials, registries, local finance - not only speculation.
Security from day one.
@muspro__dev’s lane: treat every contract, Discord, and campus activation as an attack surface.
Keys, approvals, social engineering, and the habit of reading before you click.
That is the difference between a chapter that lasts and one that gets wrecked.
Campus as the distribution layer. If you lead a chapter, you speak.
If you want one, you stay. The Road to Devcon 8 program is explicitly trying to turn Nigerian universities into builder pipelines ahead of Devcon 8 in Mumbai (3–6 Nov 2026).
UNILAG, UNN, and other schools are already on the train.
Why this session mattered
Devcon does not start in Mumbai. It starts on campus: wallets created, first testnet tx sent, first chapter meeting held, first student who can explain consensus without reading from a slide.
The Campus Innovation Tour is running virtual weeks now (think-in-blockchain → first contract → mini dApp) and in-person stops later at UNILAG, UNN, ABU, Uniport, FUT Minna, and more.
Partners backing the tour include the @ethereumfndn@EFetheverywhere / Devcon, @FundableHQ , and @paycrest
Takeaways to carry forward
Learn the machine before the meme. State, consensus, incentives, wallets, contracts.
Security is not a later module. It is the first filter for campus leads.
Chapters beat isolated learners. One organized campus group outperforms twenty people watching threads alone.
Devcon 8 is a destination, not the starting line.
The work is the workshops, hackathons, and chapters happening now.
