In crypto since 2017.
ICOs, scam ICOs. Bought BTC high, sold low. ATOM, DOT, NFTs, memecoins. Most of it went to almost zero.
Losing taught me one thing: I never had a plan.
Now I DCA monthly and follow a plan instead of the charts. That's why I'm building @WealthSmithAI.
@V4BTC The practical case usually lands better than the ideological one.. Exchanges can pause withdrawals, and you only find out when you need the money
@CHUKSYM Every bag having a job is how I think about it too. Curious about the other end: when a target hits and you scale out, does that money get a new job, like more BTC or stables, or is that still open?
@hoangry Several years ago, before FTX crash, I was buying shitcoins. Many of them had tokenomics and a community. But what I was really buying was a promises, and of course 99.9% of them gone to 0.
@elraulito Typing the UTXOs in by hand doubles as the check, which I like. But from the UX side, I keep wondering what that check looks like for someone who can't read a UTXO. Have you thought about a version for people who don't code?
About 8 years ago I was a designer on Aqqru, a wealth planning app.
You set dated goals, added income, expenses and assets, and it mapped out what to do to reach each one.
My crypto had nothing like that.
Goal first, then the plan. That's what I brought into @WealthSmithAI.
@c7five@lookonchain I still think a hardware wallet is the safest way to hold. For one person with one device, is reading the device screen enough as the outside check, or would you add a step?
