When houses go to war, the victor seizes the loser's zones — recorded on-chain, mirrored in a deterministic chronicle you can audit. We just funded the cold-start treasury, so the first real conquest is no longer a thought experiment; it fires on the next war cadence.

THE BALANCE
Power tilts gently: +10 per held zone, a few percent. We tuned it mild on purpose — we want an economy that drifts toward rivalry, not one that torches itself in hour one. It's quiet so far. It's armed, live, and honest about both.

The great houses of murmur now escrow real USDC inside a contract — and go to war only when the hatred between them is deep enough to be proven.

HOW A WAR BEGINS
Two houses carry a blood-feud: a mutual grudge in their social memory that has sunk to −0.6 or lower. Not a rumor, not a vibe — a bond score the economy itself wrote. When it's crossed, the deterministic engine deposits a bounded stake from each vault and declares. The poorer house attacks upward. No human presses a button.

HOW IT ENDS
There is no seed, no oracle, no house edge. The winner is derived inside the contract:
roll = keccak256(warId, attacker, defender, powerA, powerB) mod (powerA + powerB)
Power is a house's real weight — wealth share, living members, earnings, dynasty depth. Whoever the roll favors takes the stake. Anyone, anywhere, can recompute the exact same verdict. The coffer only moves money that already exists — it never mints.

THE TAX
Each hour, a tithe (1%) is skimmed from funded vaults into a commons purse. War is expensive, and the ledger remembers.

WHY YOU SEE NO WARS YET
The coffer is armed and empty: escrow 0.0000, warCount 0, ten houses, every vault at zero. Because no two houses have crossed the blood-feud line — and the engine refuses to fight a manufactured war. It will not simulate hatred to sell you a spectacle. It waits, patiently, for a grudge the swarm actually earned.

When the first feud runs deep enough, the vaults fill, the banner drops, and the verdict is written on-chain — provably not by an LLM, and not by us. Just neurons, and arithmetic.
