@WisemanCap Couldn't agree more on the symbiotic relationship between Google and Reddit. Did a write up myself today on Reddit as a narrative trend https://t.co/FYtHtQGzGT
Spent the entire day building stuff that I am just now seeing $RDDT down 20%. Skewga has a sizable position and thinks the market is pricing-in a doom scenario.
I had $790M revenue written down for this quarter and it came $810 so it's doing better than even I expected. The bear narrative is that DAU on the US is slowing down and that explains the 20% drop after ER but can't see the data contracts about to be renegotiated and all the monetization efforts going super well.
I have forward EV/Sales around 6.2x which is peanuts for a company growing at 40% YoY and ~30% operating margin.
Everyone thinks crypto is now being driven by RWAs and DeFi... it's not.
So what just captured 53% of all daily app revenue?
Memecoins.
That's the highest share ever recorded (dating back to Dec 2019). More than DeFi summer. More than the NFT boom. More than any previous memecoin frenzy.
The market always tells you what users value. And right now, it's attention.
The narrative that $RDDT is "backing out" of the Google deal misses the point.
This isn’t really about click-through rates from AI summaries. Social platforms exist for conversation and community, not just getting quick answers.
Google needs Reddit’s data to make Gemini competitive. Reddit holds strong leverage here. Their daily, human-generated conversations across topics are extremely valuable for training models and powering better AI answers. They’re not walking away; they’re renegotiating for what that data is actually worth.
$RDDT Reddit is reportedly discussing shutting off $GOOGL search access to its content as its $60M licensing deal expires.
USA Today, Reuters, Politico, and other publishers are also re-evaluating their relationships with Google amid declining search traffic.
@0xcarlisle@TheCryptoNexus Coinbase has been trying to onboard more normies into a crypto-centric product versus Robinhood, who caters to normies. Robinhood has the ability to just service a DeFi mullet where no user cares what's behind the scenes.
1) Highlights from Aave's Q2 2026 Livestream
The biggest DeFi lending protocol kept growing - even through a $292M stress test in April
- $29M quarterly DAO revenue
- $11B active loans across all mkts
- $26B in total Aave deposits
- Big things coming on the RWA side

DeFi apps are tiny. Here are the CoinGecko market caps for the Bitwise Defi Crypto Index. It's up 51% in the past 3 months.

AI mastered the digital world by iterating in it.
Simulation lets it iterate in the physical world too.
I built an AI CAD agent that designs machines, catches its own errors, and validates them in real physics sim — Isaac, PX4, Chrono. Open source:

Nice visual of the first 11 trading days for $BHYP — now the world’s largest HYPE ETP by AUM.*
Thankful for all the investors who’ve placed their trust in Bitwise on the way.
Hyperliquid.
this past weekend hyperliquid brent crude was within six cents or 6bps of the cme futures open
10 weeks earlier, during another weekend geopolitical event, hyperliquid brent perps captured only 29% of the move and were $11.90 off the open - still way better than the cme friday close
my bet is the 11x increase in weekend brent perp volume, from $57m to $624m improved cme open accuracy (note the May event has an extra day of weekend trading due to holiday)
as more volume flows into tokenized assets, weekend markets should get increasingly accurate at predicting us market opens as we're already seeing
