Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.

It sounds inconceivable. But it’s the truth.

Israel is taking deliberate, coordinated action to destroy the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Explicit statements by Israeli officials, combined with a consistent policy of destructive attacks and other practices of annihilation, prove beyond a doubt that Israel’s target is the entire population of Gaza.

Entire cities razed to the ground; medical, educational, religious and cultural infrastructure systematically destroyed; 2 million Palestinians forcibly displaced with the aim of expelling them from Gaza; and, of course, mass starvation and killing - all this amounts to an explicit attempt to destroy the population of Gaza and impose living conditions so catastrophic that Palestinian society cannot continue to exist there.

That is the exact definition of genocide.

The report we are releasing today is a warning: The ideology driving the Israeli regime is not confined to Gaza.

The same regime, the same army, the same leaders and the same commanders are implementing extremely violent practices against Palestinians in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and within Israel. We are already witnessing the spillover of practices Israel is using in Gaza to other areas - on a different scale, but guided by the same logic. In the West Bank, this is taking the form of airstrikes, demolition of refugee camps, mass evictions, and the deliberate destruction of Palestinian economy and society.

No Palestinian who lives under the genocidal Israeli regime is safe.

There is no justification for genocide – not “self-defense”, not “security”, and not the heinous acts committed by Hamas on October 7, 2023, which triggered profound existential fear among Israelis.

The international community has not only failed in its duty to stop the atrocities, but the leaders of the Western world, particularly the United States and Europe, also share responsibility by providing support that enables Israel’s acts of destruction. It is the duty of the international community to stop the genocide Israel is carrying out in Gaza.

On social media, we are seeing footage of people buried under bombed-out buildings, displaced persons’ camps on fire, children starving, people desperate for water, and hospitals left unable to treat the injured and the sick.

As a human rights organization it is our duty and responsibility to say the truth: Genocide is happening, right here and right now.

This is our genocide, and we need to stop it.

We, a collective of professionals, practitioners, and decision-makers across various industries, are profoundly concerned by the recent actions taken against some individuals (e.g. @Voulnet ) due to their stance on the situation in Palestine. It is deeply disconcerting to witness the weaponization of terms like "hate speech" and “antisemitism” to suppress and delegitimize legitimate expression of concern and empathy for an oppressed group.

The essence of democracy is the ability to voice dissent and express perspectives, especially on grave issues affecting human lives and dignity. Labeling such voices as "hate speech" and “antisemitism” is a mischaracterization that muddies genuine dialogue and attempts to mute a viewpoint.

Many companies, including @SentinelOne and @cybereason, have prided themselves on upholding principles of free speech, inclusivity, and moral integrity. Their recent decisions, which read as efforts to 'cancel' an individual for his views, are disappointing, to say the least. This not only questions their commitment to these principles but also raises concerns about the depth of their corporate values.

The right to defend oneself doesn’t give license to violate international laws. Israel, as recognized by the UN, remains an occupying power in territories like Gaza. The widespread repercussions civilians face, like interruptions in utilities and humanitarian aid, cannot and should not be ignored. To remain silent or suppress these voices under the guise of 'hate speech' is not just a disservice but a grave moral oversight.

That was a detailed response indeed. The breadth of topics you've touched upon almost veers into the territory of a "straw man fallacy." The primary focus was the illegality of collective punishment of civilians, the basic human rights of Palestinians, Israel's recognized obligations as an occupying power over Gaza by the UN, and the dangers of 'cancel-culture' #AllVoicesMatter. We must address these crucial issues head-on, without digressions.
The stark reality remains: while you and I have the privilege of engaging in this "intelligent, argument-based" discussion, 2.3 million people continue to live under siege by Israel, after some officials repeatidly dehumanized them, describing them as "Human Animals", and openly expressing their intention to treat them as such (i.e. human animals), with a death toll that exceeds 8,000 "considerable number of causalities are children".
International rules of law must be abided by, war crimes must be prosecuted, Peace and Justice go hand in hand, and above all: civilians must be protected at all costs. hope that this is the bare minimum we can agree on, since much of what you've brought up has been repeatedly debated, with each side firmly entrenched in its own perspective anyways.
