Some questions we received: What happens from here? How will Zeta Markets users & ZEX stakers be taken care of? Will Zeta halt operations? Any bullet token? Will bullet be an appchain?

1. Zeta X remains a key focus for the team and plays a pivotal role in Bullet’s go-to-market strategy as the flagship dApp, showcasing the full potential of the L2 chain.
2. ZEX stakers and Zeta users will be first in line to utilize bullet and gain any benefit from using it. Zeta X will be the flagship dapp on bullet.
3. Engineering efforts continue for Zeta X, developing a best-in-class exchange designed to rival centralized platforms. Development on the perpetuals product won’t stop there—there's a lot in the pipeline, including introducing new asset types, enhancing UX, and further developing token utility and governance. Also further features like lending.

4. Meanwhile, part of the team, will shift their focus to Bullet, collaborating with the exceptional team at @sovereign_labs to bring L2 scaling to Solana. The team is also expanding fast for these purposes.

5. ZEX will continue to serve as the core token within the Zeta Markets ecosystem. Rewards will still be distributed in ZEX, and ZEX stakers will retain the benefits of additional rewards and governance rights. The utility and governance of ZEX are still evolving, and the launch of Zeta X on Bullet will not interrupt or diminish that progress.

6. Initially we had planned for Zeta to build the layer 2 as a closed app chain, specifically optimized for our perps order book model. The great excitement and interest, from even parties within the Solana Foundation, as well as partners, users and ecosystem devs, gave us feedback that this could be something much, much bigger.

7. Ecosystem devs reaching out to us gave us validation that the tech could be used beyond perps. Other high-throughput applications, such as order book exchanges for assets beyond perps (think options, spot, nfts), gaming, and more, could all leverage this tech.

8. There are no current plans for a bullet token

9. To test the tech as a POC, initially bullet will be permissioned and deploy Zeta X only - however we welcome all buidlers to get in touch NOW to talk about permissionless deployment later on.

10. Testnet Q4. Mainnet Q1. Stake that ZEX.

11. We must grow the pie by improving 10x experience improvements - and we're shipping hard to make it happen. Stay tuned.

For too long DeFi has spiralled down a path which limits its reach and utility - keeping it small. Much of the volume and activity in DeFi today arises from participants trying to exploit its inefficiencies, often resulting in network congestion and increased fees. This creates an environment which is extremely PVP and lags when compared to the more centralised world. @bulletxyz will enable hyper-scalable, low latency applications and use cases breaking us out of the mould of current DeFi.

@ZetaMarkets we've been building and optimising on-chain trading systems for over three years. While we've made significant strides, a clear gap remains between centralised and decentralised products. As long as this gap exists DeFi adoption will continue to lag. Our mission with Zeta X is clear, to create a system that can match the user experience and performance of centralised products while maintaining the security, verifiability, and transparency that DeFi offers.

I believe that to truly transform financial systems, we must create solutions that surpass existing FinTech. Only then can we emerge from the shadow cast by traditional finance and become a viable alternative driving meaningful growth.
