@ValkyrieFinance yeah I was impressed by the complexity of your positions that's why I asked ahah. I generally take 1/2 longs vs 3-5 shorts.
I use the upside/downside beta to check if my thesis is right. Ideally I wanna short a token which reacts more to downside than it does on the upside.
@ValkyrieFinance Thank you! I tend to use BTC 30d since usually I do not hold these positions long term so I want to get an idea of what is the latest relation. Still trying to find a balance tho so will try 1y as well
@Ystazi@intern_cc You generally want to short weak tokens against majors (BTC, ETH). All of the low mcap/FDV vs majors could be a nice pair if the Beta is stable enough.
Pair trading allows you to profit regardless of market direction! By going long on one asset and short on another, you capture price divergences while reducing exposure to overall market trends. It's all about relative value, not absolute moves. 📈🔄

In the $XAI vs $BTC chart, Beta tells a compelling story. XAI’s upside Beta is lower than its downside Beta, meaning XAI gains less when BTC rises than it loses when BTC falls. This makes a Beta-adjusted strategy of long BTC and short XAI particularly attractive—💡
