google’s open source & research output basically built the modern ai + web stack:

- chromium → most browsers
- android → 3b+ phones
- tensorflow, jax, tpu papers → shaped ml infrastructure
- transformer paper → changed the world
- mapreduce, borg, spanner, protobufs, kubernetes → cloud & infra as we know it

meanwhile openai, despite the open in the name, is philosophically closed.

the founders of google have left so much legacy for good in the world. that has to be lauded. can’t imagine two other people who have had such an enormous impact on modern life.

ETH still has a narrative problem.
BTC pumps up and holds because it is considered digital gold, a macro hedge against market meltdown, US debt default. Bankers eat their words on BTC, companies turn themselves into BTC treasuries. ETH? Whole different story

Ethereum is where the builders are. Researchers, engineers, people here for the ethos , not just stacking satoshis.They are building to improve decentralisation, lightweight nodes, faster verification, better p2p networks, better UX and higher TPS.
