I spent years trying to make my father proud, only to realize he had been proud of me long before I noticed

Growing up, he rarely said “I’m proud of you”

If I brought home good grades, he’d nod and ask what I got wrong

When I got my first serious job, he asked if I was saving enough

When I bought my first car, he pointed out that the tires looked worn

I used to think nothing I did was ever enough. So I kept chasing bigger achievements, hoping one day he would finally say the words I wanted to hear

Then I came home unexpectedly one afternoon and found him talking to my younger sister

He was telling her how hard I had worked to get where I was. He mentioned things I had completely forgotten about

That was when I understood. Some fathers don't know how to say I'm proud of you

They show it in the stories they tell about you when you aren't there

@softwithhannah Una too like trouble, one lady did the same thing to me. I was talking to her and she just ignored me, when it's for her to drop her money fell and I took it and pay for myself. Is God not Good, imagine if I didn't meet her, where I for get extra money
