We’re thrilled to announce that #Pizzatoe#Pt is part of Lazarus’s latest artpack on 16colors: https://t.co/DcxbTBcdLP We contributed two #ANSIart scrolls inspired by Indiana Jones–style adventures, in collaboration with the amazing artists warpus and krl.
@MarioBreskic@round@pizzatoe Yeah, it'll allow me (and everyone else as soon as I publish the script) to spread pixels and terminal aesthetics to wider range of systems.
I'm currently testing the script on two OSs meanwhile designing a set of typefaces for the release.
Do you remember this? It was a tough battle.
I'm unsure if it was a daydream or I actually managed to create a script for png→ttf conversion, but I feel accomplished.
I may start dropping #CP437 fonts, including Terminal Gothic, soon. You don't want to miss this!
We used ‘D’ characters for depth and fill, with pipe-style line art to define edges. Subtle gradients of light and dark gray, plus symbols like D, I, M, ; and ’ bring out shading and dimensionality. The lasgun was detailed with creative use of curved pipe glyphs.
We #Pizzatoe#Pt created a new #ANSIart piece from the grimdark universe of Warhammer 40k — featuring an infantry soldier of the Death Korps of Krieg. One of the Emperor’s mortal regiments, they embrace death and are known for their signature gas masks.
This month, we #Pizzatoes#Pt have been busy planning something exciting: our very own #ANSIart artpark! Instead of original characters, we're paying tribute to beloved figures from movies, games, and anime. We welcome your feedback and suggestions as we develop this project.
Mistigram: much like its meatspace analogue, online love in digital cyberspace can be messy... but can still be well worth exploring! This #ANSIart screen by @mavenmob was included in the new unthemed MIST0625 artpack collection.

Another #ANSIart character from the Warhammer 40k universe — the ascended Daemon Prince of Khorne.
We used a dominant red tone, with deep and pale yellow armor to echo his brutal presence. The massive wings aren’t fully shown, emphasizing a sense of oppressive power.

We at #Pizzatoe#Pt put a lot of effort into polishing this version — adding intricate details to the hair, clothes, and accessories. We redesigned the background, placing the character deep inside a mysterious cave to spark an adventure. Enjoy the dynamic energy it brings.

Another piece of #ANSIart to pay tribute to Tomb Raider. It’s still just a rough sketch—we’re planning to add more background, lighting, and a stronger sense of motion for the main character. We also want to create more interaction between protagonist and environment. Stay tuned!
Since then, we at #Pizzatoe#Pt have been creating more #ANSIart portraits as part of our creative practice. One favorite is “The Crazy Artist” — a bold piece with striking blue and purple contrasts. The full collection appears at the end of the video. More portraits in progress.
In January 2025, we at #Pizzatoe#Pt created a series of #ANSIart to celebrate the Lunar New Year — featuring festive scenes like New Year prints and lion dancing. It’s fascinating to reimagine these iconic East Asian traditions through the lens of computational art.
Mistigram: while we're covering beverages, here's @Joninscii's self-drinking #ASCIIart#coffee cup to get your week started! This was included in the recent food-themed IMBIBE01 electronic magazine.
If you're interested, we've also kept the intermediate drafts, as shown here. We might release a full timelapse of the creation process later on—so you’ll be able to see how we pieced together these lovely #ANSI characters and blocks into a complete artwork.
Next up in #Pizzatoe#Pt: a refined version of our #ANSIart Horus. We spent more time refining the fur texture on the wolf pelt, especially around shoulders. The blood red eyes are now brighter and more intense, and we’ve added extra detail and highlights to the skull as well.
We're excited to reveal a sneak peek of our upcoming #ANSIart! Horus, the iconic protagonist from the Warhammer 40k tabletop game and the Horus Heresy novel series. His armor is depicted with striking black and yellow blocks, alongside blended shades of dark and light yellow.
You might also notice a mysterious empty space left at the top of the image. That part will be revealed in the final version we submit to the artpack. Stay tuned!
