@ID_AA_Carmack Case sensitivity almost necessitates the use of an IDE that supports the language and has a tab-auto-complete feature. Another layer of specific tooling to learn on top of the language syntax, and those who use it have an advantage, but also rely on a crutch.
Not sure on timing yet, but I will be leaving Twitter, hopefully soon. The fun of watching the dumpster fire front row is not worth the risk of a company run by a dangerously unstable ceo having software on my phone. Find me on mastodon before that term gets silent banned here
When a company breaks a product and wrecks decades of work it's natural to feel fury. Companies know this, so they try to deflect your rage by blaming their suppliers. Sometimes, it's suppliers who are at fault - but other times, there is plenty of blame to go around. 1/
@summer__heidi Not 100% sure if that was the same interview where, when asked why I wanted to work for $COMPANY I answered "I'm not sure if I do, yet" ๐
@summer__heidi I had one with a hardass military guy who expected new hires would follow orders as if they were soldiers. He complained that I didn't include full street addresses on every job listing on my resume, and described my job history (1-2 years per place on average) MULTIPLE times 1/2
@summer__heidi ... as "job hopping." When I explained that is the best way to make substantial salary increases in the modern job market he seemed mad. I finished the interview and then ghosted their calls.
