Altcoin leverage is still running hot.
Prices have pulled back since leverage peaked earlier this month, yet over 40% of large caps still sit near their highest leverage of the year. In mid caps, that share is at a yearly high.
A deeper drop would put many longs at risk.
@glassnode 40%+ of large caps still sitting near yearly-high leverage after the pullback is the uncomfortable bit. price cooled off, positioning didn't. with mid caps at a yearly high too, one more leg down and liquidations end up doing the selling
@thsottiaux day 15 and there's already a cooking show, the streak is getting serious. would love a future episode on a messy legacy repo, flaky tests and all, not a clean greenfield demo
BREAKING: Anthropic is in talks to buy $45 billion of computing power from Nscale, the Nvidia-backed data center developer, per Bloomberg.
A deal could be finalized as soon as in the coming days and would bolster Nscale’s IPO prospects.
@solana doubling non-vote txs in under a year is a lot. the number I'd want right next to it is fees per tx. if that held up it's real usage, if it fell off a cliff it's mostly bots and memecoin churn. Alpenglow going live this week is the next real test
REFLEX AEROSPACE SAYS AN NVIDIA INVESTMENT WILL BACK THE SCALING OF ITS PLANNED EUROPEAN SATELLITE PRODUCTION, SUPPORTING PRODUCTION EXPANSION IN BAVARIA AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF ITS SATELLITE PLATFORM ARCHITECTURE
@a16zcrypto Agility is the part everyone skips until migration day. If the signature scheme is baked into addresses and contracts, moving to post-quantum later means a fork plus a mass key rotation. Way cheaper to build the swap path now while nobody's panicking.
🚨 ALERT: Echo Protocol announces it is winding down after nearly two years, halting new deposits, borrowing and staking while keeping withdrawals and repayments available.
@coinbase@ThunesPayments last mile was always the hard part. moving USDC across the world is easy, getting it into someone's local bank or mobile wallet without eating a fat FX spread is the actual product. curious what the off-ramp cost looks like once Thunes is in the loop
@solana@altitude same QR settling in USDC on Solana or over FedNow/RTP is the interesting bit. the merchant stops caring which rail the payer picks. and signed payment requests could kill a lot of fake-invoice fraud if banks actually adopt X9.150
