@CBCHamilton My fear is that with any increase people will be kicked off the system. Those with invisible illnesses already struggle to receive and continue receiving benefits, I imagine it would be even more of a challenge to meet criteria.
@CBCHamilton Maybe the real issue is that she’s on #odsp and cannot afford hydro to run an a/c unit? I can imagine it gets really hot though, it’s more than just a little discomfort :(
@losinghopein Oh the irony, my partner with mental health issues is up for medical reevaluation this month and was told if they don’t try and commit suicide again, it’s unlikely they’ll continue receiving benefits! Wtf is that?!
@SweetNSalty77@MyBeckersStory@ODSPAction @StopgapOttawa Thank you for saying this, I don’t have any family support and when I did my step parent worked in the odsp office, which they called “cash for life” and would simply tell me of another handout I could look into for help.
@ONT_Dad Every school my kids have been at the teachers run the sports, regardless of parent volunteers. When teachers opt out, teams don’t run - volunteers outside school employees cannot run a team without at least one staff member, so parents hands are tied without teacher help!
@UberEats terrible idea allowing customers to adjust their tip post delivery. Gotta love how you handed your customers a way to trick drivers into thinking they’re getting tips they’re not, and this has ZERO to do with poor service. #badpractise
@yourchoice14pm @SamHersh01 I’ve seen others in your position develop some severe mental health issues as a result of such denials. I am so sorry you’re going through this.
@Sarah37229216@CityCynthia Completely in the same boat, it’s so so hard. There’s no money for food. People don’t understand and say you want a better life, get a job. I feel for you!
@StevenDelDuca@OntLiberal I’ve been waiting to hear what your plan was as everyone knows it’s a red and blue race. Orange and green appeal to our demographic and seem to hear what we our saying, that we are dying or would rather die. Please help us.
@CityCynthia Breaks my heart but I’m living the same reality with a family of disabled people. I didn’t know assisted death was an option. It’s so sad but true, there are days when it’s just prolonged suffering.
@HWDSB 1 school isn’t using lockers because they don’t have enough for everyone.
An identically built school, is using lockers and they can be share with someone in their cohort/family.
A third school, is using lockers ONLY because they have 1 for everyone.
Wtf?! Consistent? Huh?
