I haven’t seen anyone growing in life who disrespects his parents, all the highest and most successful people I know have a wonderful relationship with their parents and respect them unconditionally.
@shantiswarup4u@manas_muduli With all due respect shantiswarup,
One has all the legal rights to take a food and share it with rest of the world. For me I am happy that one man is doing it. Thai curry is available in india. Thais can be upset about it or celebrate it. I want to be the former.
@shantiswarup4u@manas_muduli Paris bakery is more of a political example. Even if a business fails later on. Thats still business.
Success/Failure won't change the definition of entrepreneurship.
This is very much entrepreneurship.
@shantiswarup4u@manas_muduli IP- not everything should have to go through the Microsoft way of doing business. Man has a product. He is selling legally. Making profit. Thats business.
@shantiswarup4u@manas_muduli Developing a vertical integration of supply chains- if he is manging this business with or without it, its still OK.
About Moat- there are many profitable businesses without moat. Thats fine. The roadside dahibara doesn't have MOAT either.
@shantiswarup4u@manas_muduli Yes we can call it Entrepreneurship. Agree that its not innovative, but then neither are so many products in the world. He took a product to many states and making crores running it. Its Entrepreneurship by the definition.
If your child becomes a reader, about 80% of the education job is already done. That's my honest assessment after working in education for over thirty years. Everything else is secondary. Most parents think science education is important. Yes it is. But if you can't read the biology textbook, you're not going to learn biology.
Reading is the meta-skill that enables all other skills. History requires reading. Science requires reading. Even math increasingly requires reading as it becomes more sophisticated. The child who reads voraciously will figure out everything else. The child who doesn't will struggle with everything.
@prakash_pov True. And Kalinga fleets were doing this too. In India we often forget the influence of Kalinga on all of South East Asia. Just look at Bali's dance form and Hinduism to understand. Or how Sri Lanka is more closer to Odiya culture than Tamil.
Early in my career, a mentor told me something I didn’t fully grasp:
“As a woman, you marry your ceiling.”
Years later, after working with lots of talented women, I’ve seen how true this is. The partner you choose can either expand your ambitions… or quietly shrink them.
A secure partner doesn’t compete with your light, they amplify it. They create space for you to grow.
If you want more retail participation in the markets, increase tax exemption on ELSS Upto ₹5L, give this under the new tax regime as well.
This would push up the markets far far higher than an LTCG waive off would!
LTCG waive off only benefits market participants, the objective would be to increase pool of audience participating, not rewarding the existing set.
The best gift you can give your child isn’t more toys.
Not a bigger house.
Not even the best school.
It’s a sibling.
Someone who comes from the same place you do.
Someone who remembers the same kitchen smells, the same family stories, the same hard days when things weren’t easy.
One day, when parents are no longer around, siblings are still there.
They carry the memories.
They remember your childhood with you.
They know who you were before the world got to you.
A sibling teaches things no book ever will.
How to share without being asked.
How to forgive and move on.
How to stand up for someone just because they’re yours.
In a world that pushes people to be “independent” and alone, siblings quietly save children from loneliness.
They fight. They compete. They drift apart at times.
But when life hits hard, they almost always find their way back to each other.
Money comes and goes.
Status fades.
Friends change with time.
But a sibling stays.
Messy. Imperfect. Real.
And deeply precious.
Give your child a brother or a sister.
You’re not splitting love.
You’re giving them more of it.
High intelligence is the ability to iterate, persist, and understand the big picture. The mark of low intelligence is the inability to learn from your mistakes.
