A couple of facts:
-The gun used in the shooting was an AR-15. You can thank George Bush for allowing the assault weapon ban to expire
-The shooter told friends he was suicidal and wanted to kill people. He also posted Instagram memes about burning the world down. Kentucky has no red flag laws as many blue states do — that would’ve precluded him from buying a gun should they have reported these statements to police.
-The shooter purchased the gun just 6 days before the massacre. Kentucky has no “waiting period” for gun purchases as many blue states do.
