President @HassanSMohamud received H.E. Mikhail Golovanov, outgoing Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Somalia, in a farewell audience at Villa Somalia Presidential Palace.

The President commended Ambassador Golovanov for his distinguished service and valued contributions to strengthening Somalia–Russia bilateral relations during his tenure.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud received H.E. Wang Yu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Somalia at Villa Somalia Presidential Palace.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest and explored avenues to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Somalia reaffirmed its adherence to the One‑China principle, recognizing the People’s Republic of China as the sole legal government of China, regarding Taiwan as an inalienable part of Chinese territory, and opposing any form of “Taiwan independence”.

The President conveyed Somalia’s sincere appreciation for China’s sustained support for the country’s state‑building efforts and expressed gratitude for Beijing’s consistent endorsement of Somalia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and national unity.

أتقدّم بأحرّ التهاني إلى عموم الشباب الصومالي بمناسبة الخامس عشر من مايو، وهي مناسبة وطنية خالدة تُجسّد ذكرى البطولة والنضال الذي خاضه شبابنا في سبيل الحرية، والذين كان لهم الفضل في أن تصبح الصومال اليوم دولة مستقلة ذات سيادة.
ويمثّل الخامس عشر من مايو رمزًا لليوم الذي بزغ فيه أمل الشعب الصومالي، حين وضع ثلاثة عشر شابًا الأساس لتأسيس رابطة الشباب الصومالي (SYL)، وبدأوا نضالًا شاقًا من أجل تحرير الوطن من الاستعمار الذي كان يفرض التفرقة والانقسام. وقد جسّد أولئك الشباب الأبطال أسمى معاني الوطنية والتلاحم والرؤية البعيدة، مما مهّد الطريق أمام وطننا لنيل الحرية وبناء الدولة.
وإنني أدعو شباب الصومال اليوم إلى تعزيز دورهم في ترسيخ السلام، ودفع عجلة التنمية، والمساهمة في إعادة بناء الوطن وصون وحدته، مستلهمين في ذلك نضال ووطنية روّاد حركة SYL.
إن شباب اليوم هم عماد الدولة الحديثة، والقوة القادرة على صناعة نهضة الوطن، وهم الأمل الحقيقي لمستقبل صومالٍ مزدهرٍ وقوي.
