@JoeEvans1990 @HMRCcustomers HMRC will NEVER email to tell you you’ve got a refund, it’s a scam so don’t reply to it. Sorry you don’t have a refund but random emails get sent to 1000s of people telling them they’ve got refunds, usually between about £200-400!!

@missklemay If they've asked you to file one you'll have to do it and put that you've ceased self employment - then next year they won't ask again! If you're still in their system they'll fine you if you don't file 😬
