things on ao3 that are gonna send wattpad users into a coma:
- kinktober
- character/character vs character&character
- commenting culture/lack thereof
- no algorithm
- the reason ao3 was created in the first place...
we need to start including AO3 in our yearly reading wrap-ups because reading 150k words about the same two people falling in love in every possible universe is still reading.
fanfiction and fandom is so beautiful because i can read about my favorite characters falling in love over and over and over again in thousands of different universes and i can also read about them getting nasty 6 ways to sunday like wow ❤️
realistic answer: intensive full fic outline with plot, character arcs, etc. before i even allow myself to start
but mostly: mental illness and writing at the expense of pretty much everything else in ur life for a minimum of several months
people who claim that below 500 kudos is comically low have NEVER been a part of a small fandom or shipped a rare pairing... Like girl, how am I supposed to reach 500 kudos if there's 7 of us in total 😭
does anyone else have a fic (from any fandom) that has stuck with them for literal years and even all this time later when i’m no longer in that fandom i still regularly think about how beautiful it was and hope that the author is still writing in some capacity
