@Tedthekelpie@ipaddockapps Shire of Dumbleyung with the unwanted title of having 100% of the shire in decile 1. Hopefully things turn for the better this week!
Have seen some decent Wedge Tailed Eagle nests around the farm before but this one appears to be the biggest house on the street! Guessing 2.5-3m deep atop an old 20m plus tall salmon gum.
@Oscarthefarmer So change the last 4 digits of the GPS receiver frequency to .5050 and it should work. Western china origin instead of the signal we normally use apparently. May not quite be 100% as accurate as normal due to the distance but heaps better than autonomous
Anyone run Right Weigh spring suspension scales on their tippers? Are they as accurate as airbag scales in a paddock environment where a flat, hard surface isn’t always possible?
@srkehancock_sam 3 headers, 2 chaff carts & 1 HSD. Carts cheap to run but prone to blocking when moisture in stems. Burning piles is a pain. HSD less hassle but turns a class10 into a 7/8, uses 50% more fuel & costly to run. U don’t do either for fun that’s for sure. Def expensive weed control.
Swathing Lupins? Yes, no, maybe? Worth a crack or just stick to what we know? Couple of paddocks have some reasonable height and wondering if it’s worth having a dabble.
@martindekock89 Hi Martin. Haven’t tried swathing very short ones but I’d imagine they might be slightly more difficult to pick up off the ground in a windrow?
