@logue_phil@HoolyMcg@AmberB_C WW1 scheme was a disaster. Often, the recipient sold it off in little blocks.
By WW2, they interlotted titles. Making entire farms one title
@tofar1 Replace the metre housing unit with a stainless steel one. After a while, the OEM ones start to get a rough surface on them, increasing friction, and eventually, they won't run smoothly.
@22Donovanwillis@peterofnewtown1@haydenbeamish I just trying to wrap my head around it. I'm going on what I got told this morning.
$1000/fortnight rent is absolutely out of control and unsustainable.
The eating for one for $300/fortnight is possible I do it HOWEVER, no dining out, no takeaway, eat all leftovers, nothing fancy
@22Donovanwillis@peterofnewtown1@haydenbeamish So government services told me this morning that someone on the job seeker could have a after tax earning of aprox $1300 per fortnight.
IMO, that should be well and truly sufficient for someone to live with dignity and get a full-time job.
@22Donovanwillis@peterofnewtown1@haydenbeamish Also, the payment amount is average $1000 per fortnight. Thus includes other payments the person is eligible for.
The person could get a casual roll in retail or hospitality, plus job seekers, plus rent assistance, plus energy supplement, plus pharmaceutical allowance. 2/3
@cam_ritchie1@HoolyMcg@DrageRiley I don't grow canola, I just use it to even out the area between the seed and fertiliser.
The old style metre rollers are the weakness. There is a bloke in Canada who 3D prints new metre rollers. Much better helix design prevents cogging.
@cam_ritchie1@HoolyMcg@DrageRiley Good luck.
That's like the small seeds box for my air seeder. It's not very common, but everyone wants one. I could sell mine twice a week.
I'm told a small seed box is $ 20k - $30k.
@AmberB_C@HoolyMcg The war service land settlement scheme was only for returning Australians with an agricultural background.
Wasn't a grant or a handout but a lease with conditions to improve said lease.
Years later, we had to freehold them.
Was more of a lease to own setup.
@peterofnewtown1@haydenbeamish I don't understand. What is the connection between jobseeker payments below the poverty line affecting people to look for work?
My understanding is that the jobseeker is temporary to get you buy till you can pick up work. Not a chance for someone to live comfortably on the couch
@cam_ritchie1@HoolyMcg@DrageRiley Davimac own Agrodrill still makes combines make a small seeds box option.
Can't go past farmscan 1 section valve bank with a jackel controller, hooked to furrow management friction flow.
@warranto_q92963@HoolyMcg They had a trial period when they first rolled out the overhead cameras. The letter did say there is no action at this point.
But next time, I'll take it to the JP.
@HoolyMcg Take it to court. You will appear in front of the JP. They will determine whether or not you appear in front of a magistrate or they throw it out then and there.
If you are found guilty, ask for a 12-month time schedule to pay.
@camwallaclifton JD 9200 30 foot Equilizer
I had a play around this year with gears and RPM.
Went up a gear down 100RPM to 1700.
Fuel usage down 15%, wheel slip less, no problem with power and torque.
@HoolyMcg@4Farmers_@PrimeAgWL@HiTechAg If it was a planned trial, I would have definitely loved to compare. Unfortunately, it was a batching mistake, and I was running short, so I got what I could in a hurry.
There are now 7 products out there that I know of would be great to pit them all side by side.
I love a good paddock scale trial.
@4Farmers_ Aquifier
@PrimeAgWL Tolero
@HiTechAg HTA soil wetter
All products at 3L/ha w/ 70/ha total volume water and Cu, Zn, Mn sulphates.
Each product every third run. Over two 30ha paddocks. Bannister oats.
About 10 different soil types.
@stewartavery8@4Farmers_@PrimeAgWL@HiTechAg Awesome. I trialled SE14 a few years ago. Was a good crop but lodged and shed a bit and was difficult to harvest compared.
I would like to get as many products as I could find and put them in the same paddock.
@tommy2dogs454@4Farmers_@PrimeAgWL@HiTechAg It was an unplanned trial. I was running 100L short after a batching mistake. Prime ag had the Tolero on the shelf.
If I was planning it again, I would put all seven products that I know of side by side.
I'd love to see them all fairly compared in a broadacre trial.
