We were unable to find a short term replacement of equal ability but we managed to find someone who could do the easy half of the work and 5 of us worked 10% extra for a year. It worked and we are all more united now

Those of us who worked our butts off tend to be fiscally conservative/socially liberal as we remember how challenging life can be and how a little help at the right time can be life changing

He could have used Trump’s attacks to his advantage but instead he was fighting the previous election. He closed the debate with a commercial the party had run for 2 weeks- slogans over substance.

@DemosKratosCA @Huronimo_Rebel I was mostly trying to point out that there are non-nefarious reasons to have “call for pricing” on a website. I actually agree with their overall point but I have also noticed that some who publish pricing don’t include the hidden costs/extra charges and waste your time.

@DemosKratosCA @Huronimo_Rebel I’ve a seasonal business with over 100 potential suppliers (generally use 30 of them). Most pricing is known months in advance - we list that on our website. Sometimes we don’t know the cost until shortly before we receive it. Updating those prices on our website isn’t practical.

@Gas1158Scott @JinglaiHe Farm foreign workers are paid according to the labour laws in each province. Most farmers also pay for their flights to and from as well as part or all housing expenses. They are more expensive than hiring a local. They also bring an extensive skill set not easy to replace.

It’s already a thing with current sales tax rates. The more sales taxes go up the more people will try to cheat. Also very hard on lower income people

Using a starting point when CAN$ was higher than the US$, and destroying our manufacturing industry might make for good clickbait but it’s idiotic from an economic standpoint.

@Rodzillaattack @JFredKuntz @dubsndoo And yet the opposite has ruled the day in Alberta for more than 50 years. The rage farming gets Alberta politicians elected but how much actual benefit do those same politicians bring to Alberta?
