“If someone's work resonates with you, don't hesitate to reach out.” — Anne Spalter (@annespalter)
One of the more practical insights from our conversation with Anne Spalter.
Anne reflected on how many meaningful opportunities begin with a simple conversation. She shared the story of connecting with musician Josh Craig (@1188World) during the pandemic after encountering his work online. What started as an exchange around a shared appreciation for each other's work eventually grew into a creative partnership—before they had ever met in person.
In a world where so much of our cultural life now unfolds online, it's easy to underestimate the value of a direct message, an introduction, or a thoughtful note.
The point isn't networking for the sake of networking. It's curiosity. It's participation. It's being willing to start a conversation.
As Anne put it, the worst thing that can happen is that they don't write back.

11-88 Race Car won 1st Place @ this seasons ST2 Time Trail circuit. WOW. Came in 2nd last year and now we won. Proud of our team. Happy I got to design the car and help push us into the winners circle!
Do I receive NetJet's quarterly magazine? No, sadly, I don't have even a partial jet, but I am quoted in an excellent article by @lesatnews about the opening of @refikanadol 's new @DatalandMuseum :-)
