ALERT: Woman runs for her life after she was bitten by a rattlesnake while trimming rose bushes in her California front yard.
Linda Martin was at her home near Santa Clarita, tending to her rose bushes barefoot, when she felt something bite her foot.
She lifted up the bush to find a rattlesnake hiding under it and was bitten without the snake even making a noise.
As she frantically dialed 911, she had no cell service, and after the 3rd attempt, her husband said: “Get in the car.”
“Had my husband not been home, and I was here alone, I don’t know what would have happened.”
California Poison Control System director Lee Cantrell says the state is outpacing last year's rattlesnake attacks by 20%.
“Last year, we had a little over 400 calls about rattlesnake bites… And so far, in the first six months of 2026, we’ve had 250 calls.”
32-year-old Nicholas Lopez entered the Hair Depot salon on Decker Boulevard. He approached a woman, exposed himself, and rubbed his genitals on her.
He was later identified via surveillance video, located nearby on Hunt Club Road, and arrested. He faces charges including indecent exposure, third-degree criminal sexual conduct, and second-degree assault & battery. He was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center with a $2,500 bond.

@BrianG0712@CODUpdates Hey man just wanted to lyk that my man and I logged in today after the update and split screen is working again! It’s a bit buggy but not horrible. Happy I can just play with my husband again.
@AlexndrVinci@TUCKMAN092@Caseveil That’s when you would get pepper sprayed trying to come break a camera. Then pay fines and a trip to jail. Sounds pretty fucking stupid to do if you ask me and all because he’s filming. Who’s gonna tell you there’s cameras literally everywhere
@keithamccluske1@Jack_Forge13@Caseveil Disagree. You don’t see people throwing fits like this at the mall or any other place where there’s cameras. That includes the streets btw, you’re not upset about privacy in those situations. This is no different. People like you are why they do these things.
His whole life his temper tantrums have been catered to. Until they weren’t. Now this kid is facing real charges. Playing these pronoun games taught these kids that if they just throw enough of a tantrum people will do anything they want. Bad lesson.
@Kyle_Beckley@sweetcsdesigns The weather had nothing to do with it. It was literally 65 degrees. Not to mention she put a blanket over someone who they thought was overheating?
@TheBaconFather@robzimmers Are you because the woman you named finished her tour in 2024 and hasn’t been on the demonstration team since. It takes a simple google search to find that out… yikes
